Witness love and life in its deepest meaning: PURE LOVE

Everyone has experienced how to love and be loved, right my dear amazing readers? But how would you recognize if it's true love that you feel? Or perhaps... PURE LOVE?

This July, ABS-CBN presents its latest Asianovela adaptation entitled "Pure Love," from the Korean TV series, "49 Days."

The first time I've watched the tv teaser of "Pure Love," the first thing that entered my mind was familiarity. Being also a follower of some Koreanovelas, I was fully aware that this was a similar story like the tagalized version of "Pure Love" from Korea. I had gathered more information about "Pure Love" when I attended its grand presscon held at the Dolphy theater inside ABS-CBN compound.

Having adapted this Koreanovela into our own Philippine setting, direk Veronica Velasco explained that one of the obvious changes that they adapted it when the Scheduler, played by Matt Evans, had set a specific time (40 days) for Diane, played by Alex Gonzaga to accomplish her special task of gathering teardrops that will be shed out of pure love by three people outside her family within the next 40 days since she's not destined to die yet. Aside from that, they've also added more characters to support the story. Direk Roni also assures that, everyone will feel the importance of Filipino values here most especially the love of family.

Direk Roni still added, "PURE LOVE talks about death, about crisis in anybody's life. Ang mga Pilipino automatic, kapag ganun, ang tinatakbuhan agad ang pamilya. 'Yan ang biggest difference ng Korea at saka ng Philippine version."

Alex, as we all know, entered the PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) House about two months ago, and because of that, the taping of "Pure Love" was put into a halt but according to direk Roni, it was a good break for them for they were able to review the scenes that they've shot before Alex became a celebrity housemate.

On the other hand, Alex explained her side, "Nung pumasok po ako, itanong n'yo po kay Kuya palagi kong tinatanong: 'Kuya, kasi alam ko may taping ako ng Pure Love, umeere na ba s'ya, tinanggal na ba ako.' So palagi akong nagtatanong. Pero marami naman po akong natutunan, maturity, responsibility ganyan. So, nakabuti naman po s'ya. Tapos eto na po lumabas na po ko, nag-start na kami ng taping."

During the grand presscon, everyone, especially the "Pure Love" cast was teasing Arjo with Alex, the reason for that was, Arjo had previously expressed his "interest" on Alex, and according to him, "S'ya (Alex) po 'yung tao na palatawa, pala-joke pero of course dito sa "Pure Love" masasabi kong ibang Alex ang makikita n'yo and super galing n'ya dito."

Meanwhile, another PBB ex-housemate (Teen Clash 2010), Yen Santos was given a good break in "Pure Love" tv series. She considers this as her biggest break being in the industry for quite sometime now. Kudos to ABS-CBN for recognizing a fresh and young talent like Yen. According to her, "Sobra po akong masaya di ko po talaga ineexpect na mapupunta 'yung role na' to sa 'kin. Talagang sobrang laking tiwala na binigay sa akin ng production na mapunta sa' kin ang role na Ysabel. First time ko po na mag-portray ng dalawang characters kaya talagang kailangang aralin ko po din."

Joseph Marco also considered "Pure Love" as his biggest break on television, he said, "I think after three years, since last time na nag-leading man ako, nag-support ako, naging character actor, I feel pressured in a way, but for me it's a good pressure, kaya naman I just feel really blessed and I appreciate this so much na pinagkatiwala nila sa' kin 'yung role ko dito. All I gotta do is give my best in any way."

If you were to gather teardrops that will be shed out of pure love from three different people outside your family, who do you have in mind that's deserving of your life and love and have the purest intention and feeling towards you?

I just wanna say again that, "Life is so short." We have to live life to its fullest in a very positive way. Make your loved ones feel that they are truly and purely loved as if there is no tomorrow. The story of "Pure Love" is a hypothetical one, but it's filled with lessons in love, life and death.

There are a lot of reasons to really discover the deepest meaning of love and life... watch "Pure Love" which will premiere on July 7, Monday on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida before "TV Patrol." This is also directed by Mikey Del Rosario. Joining the main cast are, Arron Villaflor, Yam Concepcion and introducing here is Anna Luna. Completing the cast are Sunshine Cruz, John Arcilla, Ana Capri, Bart Guingona, Dante Ponce and Shey Bustamante.
