Herbcare's Glucosamine Max and Wheatgrass Max

Health is wealth. It is one of the most essential and priceless possessions that we could ever have. Neglecting your own health would only hinder to our ultimate goal in life. That is to live happily and be with our loved ones completely and with full of energy.

As we age, some of our body systems tend to wear out. This is indeed part of the natural aging process. But what do you say if you have a resolution to that, which could help you promote skeletal and muscular strength and at the same time, boost your energy in order for you to perform daily activities as normal as possible without the worry of joint pains and easy fatigue.

The answer to all of these queries is already here! I would recommend that you should try Herbcare's Glucosamine Max and Wheatgrass Max.

Wheatgrass Max. This is in powder form which means that you will need to dilute this in a glass of water, what I prefer is ice cold water with a couple or three ice cubes which for me gives the a better view of a healthy drink. This Wheatgrass Max is a complete food that contains a full spectrum of nutrients, phytochemicals, antioxidants, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, chlorophyll and solid fiber.

Another interesting fact was that extensive research over the past 50 years of the rich green goodness of Wheat Grass leaf has confirmed its value as a complete food, available in a natural synergistic form that makes it an ideal dietary supplement.
WARNING: If you are pregnant or nursing or allergic to wheat grass, consult your pharmacist or health care professional before taking this product.

If you're experiencing Joint Pains all the time then you may need to try the next product that I took which was Glucosamine Max. Here are some factors that describes the product for 'Prevention' it promotes healthy cartilage, prevents the onset of joint pains and maintains pain-free joint mobility, and for 'Rehabilitation it restores joint cartilage back to health, retards progression of damage to joints and regains pain-free mobility.
What I like for Glucosamine is that this product focuses joint pain, I sometime get something like that you see..well sign of aging I guess.

What is Joint pain? it is a chronic condition characterized by the breakdown of the joint's cartilage causing the bones to rub against each other resulting to various symptoms such as tenderness, stiffness, creaking, locking of joints and even local inflammation. What causes Joint pain? as one ages when our body's production of natural glucosamine slows down. This leads to thinning of the joint cartilage and loss of its flexibility to cushion joint movements.

 Other factors:
-injury of joints
-being in sports which constantly use particular joint/joints
-being overweight
-genetic weakness of joints
-secondary to other conditions like diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and gout

Of course food supplement intake is not enough to keep us healthy. Exercise, Good mental, emotional state are among the factors (you know the drill).
Both Glucosamine Max and Wheatgrass Max are quality products of Herbcare, makers of the trusted health products Charantia and others. Visit your favorite pharmacy and drug stores to know more about the product or check www.herbcare.com.ph.

Of love, hope and inspiration: NiƱo is set to touch everyone's heart

"Children only see the world through genuine and pure love. They are so innocent that their lovely smiles warms up our hearts. I truly believe that there is always a child in each one of us. So let us learn to share our genuineness and smiles with everyone. The face of a child will give us hope to live" --- Anonymous

Filipinos are so fond of watching "teleseryes." We often make it a habit to include that as part of our daily routine if not, we find extra time to at least be updated about the tv series we avidly follow. We also consider watching tv programs a sort of a bonding activity with our families at home. Sometimes we can relate and most of the times, we interact and talk about the scenes most especially the values of the story that it imposes to their viewers.

Am so glad to share with you, my amazing dear readers that, there's one upcoming family-oriented tv series which speaks of great values not only for our children but for the whole family. It is a unique drama series which conveys love, hope and inspiration that would definitely touch everyone's heart... and everyone's life.

I am talking about the latest GMA telebabad that replaces "Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw," set to premiere tonight, after, 24 Oras, is "NiƱo." A wholesome heartwarming story of a mentally-challenged 15-year old boy, played by Miguel Tanfelix (NiƱo). The story evolves primarily between him and his "tukayo," a Sto. NiƱo incarnate played by child star David Remo. NiƱo, will be spreading love, hope, inspiration, optimism and courage to his town mates and will prove that "miracles" do exist. To be able to accomplish that, he needs the help of his "tukayo."

I got the chance to interview four of the teenage cast of "Nino," in their blogcon held at Dulcinea in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. I was truly amazed by these teeners, the way they speak, the way they handle situations, the way they speak positively of others, was so mature and admirable. Kudos to the parents of Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, Julian Marcus Trono and Renz Valerio for raising these kids so well.

The "NiƱo" teenage cast from (L to R): Renz Valerio, Julian Trono, Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix during the blogcon

Julian Marcus Trono as Cocoy

When asked on what do they expect about the viewer's reaction after watching their tv series "NiƱo," Julian answered, "Ito kasi mas parang new, at the same time, 'yung story na merong special child. ang market ng show is 'yung kids di'ba? And alam din natin na masyado ring matatalino na ang mga bata, di mo alam kung ano ang papanoorin talaga nila, cartoons ba or inspirational. Kasi 'yun ang kalaban mo talaga eh, so i'm clueless pa. We're praying na para sa mga kabataan, mapahatid namin 'yung message ng show."

Miguel Tanfelix as NiƱo

While on the other hand, Miguel who plays the title role said, "Siguro magugustuhan naman nila kasi inspirational, once masimulan nila, uulit-ulitin nila kasi may aral silang matututunan dito. Tapos relihiyoso pa si NiƱo, kaya siguro mako-caught sila kasi alam naman natin na ang mga Pilipino mga relihiyoso na tao 'yan. Pagbubutihan namin para ma-hook up din sila sa show."

Bianca Umali plays the role of Angelica

How does the Sto.NiƱo influence you and your family? Bianca answered, "I'm Catholic. Growing up with my grandmother, halos maya't-maya ko s'ya nakikitang nagro-rosary. And nung nalaman ko na religious nga ung "NiƱo," sobrang nakaka-inspire s'ya, talagang inobserve ko ang bawa't galaw ng lola ko with people and iba 'yung connection n'ya with the Lord. So sobrang inspired ako na kailangang matutunan kong maging ganun din ka-close din kay Lord not only for the show, but also as a person. So I feel na magagampanan ko nang maayos 'yung role ko, marami akong ma-aaply from real life to my character."

Renz Valerio plays Raphael

And here's what Renz has to say to the question stated, "Ako naman po, Catholic ako, pinalaki po kami ng parents namin na naniniwala sa birhen, sa Sto. NiƱo, sa mga saints. So feeling ko, masaya po ako na maging representative ng show na pinaniniwalaan mo din at nakaka-relate ka din sa mismong istorya. Sana nga po maka-inspire kami, kasi ako po mismo naniniwala po na nakaka-apekto po ito ng buhay."

Based from what I've seen and what I've heard from these teeners of the newest drama series "NiƱo," by GMA network, those are enough proofs that they all deserve to be part of the series, they act as role-models in real life. They've been raised so well by their respective parents/ guardians as well as they've been exceptionally groomed by GMA Artist Center and they appreciate it so much.

Miguel Tanfelix with his "tukayo" David Remo happily posing during their lastest tv series "NiƱo" photoshoot (credits to: GMA Network.com)

GMA gathers a stellar cast led by the most regal movie queen Gloria Romero as Lola V, Nino’s carefree grandmother. Also around are Dante Rivero, Jay Manalo, Angelu de Leon, Luz Valdez, Neil Ryan Sese, Ces Quesada, and the Master Showman German Moreno also Tom Rodriguez plays a cameo role here as Gabriel. "NiƱo is created by the GMA Entertainment TV Group, and is under the helm of the legend, Maryo J. de los Reyes.

These are the kind of people who would take part in every Filipino's lives, they can inspire, give positive outlooks, encourage hope and promote courage. The courage to do anything for the sake and goodness of our fellowmen, unselfishly and indiscriminately.

To experience a life-changing drama, please don't fail to watch the pilot episode of "NiƱo" tonight, after 24 Oras.

Rebonding Facts Made Simple with Ahglow

Ahglow Rebonding System includes Straightening Cream, Keratin Hair Protek, Neutralizer Cream, Keratin Conditioner, and HairKote

How is hair rebonding different from the Japanese Straightening System, keratin therapy, and all those other hair straightening processes in the market today?

Rebonds of varying techniques and procedures are out in the market today and while some procedures means it's too complicated for our hair's own good, a simple rule of thumb in choosing what procedure - especially for hair rebonds - is to choose the product that not only promises quality, but also comes through with it.

Women spend a small fortune to have their hair rebonded. And it is important that that investment is protected by using the right products for straight, smooth, soft, and shiny rebonded hair.

So how do you, as the enterprising and insightful hair stylist, talk to your customers about the best rebonding product that you know is out in the market today?

Simple. State the facts of hair rebonding, straight and simple.

High heat of the straightening iron will cause hair to become dull, dry, and damaged. In order to give good rebonds, hair must also be kept healthy and flawlessly straight no matter what happens. Some girls who are veterans at getting rebonds complain that their current rebond didn't last three months - some even say it didn't last the night! Yikes!

Ahglow offers the Ahglow Rebonding System, which is a five step system that ensures that your hair is not only straight but also beautifully flawless and healthy. This revolutionary system is very unlike what's going on in the market today, which only offers two steps and totally no assurance that the hair will still be healthy once it comes out of the process.

The five-step system begins with the Straightening Cream, followed by the Keratin Hair Protek, the Neutralizer Cream, Keratin Conditioner, and the HairKote. Other products may explain that having more than the usual two-step process is enough to make straight hair.

The products are formulated with a special ingredient especially imported from Germany because ingredients used for other rebonding products just don't make the cut for the makers of Ahglow. It smells more pleasant than the competition and is a lot easier to use as it only takes about two hours to finish especially if two hairdressers do the rebond at the same time. That means more customers for you who will most likely keep on coming back because your rebonds are guaranteed made with quality products.

The extra three steps does just that. Keep your rebonded hair still healthy, strong, and flawless.

You can still maximize the power of Ahglow by using their Gold Titanium Straightening Iron that doesn't snag or pull the hair and even has a warranty to make sure that your customers get the hair care that they deserve - and the praise for a job well done that you as a hairstylist truly deserve.

Gold Titanium Straightening Iron

Ahglow also made a series of hair care products made with Keratin made especially for the daily care and maintenance of rebonded hair. Just for this, Ahglow made Kerafix. Among the Kerafix products are the Deep Moisturizing Treatment Shampoo, Deep Moisturizing Treatment Conditioner, Leave-on conditioning HairShine, and Heat protection treatment, which is recommended for those who frequently use a straightening iron or hair blower at home.

Ahglow also offers keratin based conditioners for hair repair and cuticle treatment products formulated for rebounded, relaxed, and even color-treated hair like the original Keratin Reconstructor Conditioner, Avocado Treatment Wax, and the Henna Treatment Wax.

Ahglow even made the usually expensive rebonding more affordable and convenient as they launched their new Stand-Up Pouches (SUP), which contains 165g each of Straightening Cream (No.1) and Neutralizer Cream (No.2), which are great for single use.

In end, it's still in the products and its makers where a good rebond will take on its quality. Where else can we get the best than from the people who started hair rebonding in the country 10 years, which is Ahglow Corporation. No matter what name hair rebonds are given, one thing is certain. Rebonds are only as good as the products a hairstylist use. And that's the simplest rebonding fact made simple.

That's me and my shining, shimmering, splendid hair! ;))

20 Ways You Can Be The Best Friend Ever

Maleficent, from the freedictionary.com, it was defined as causing or capable of producing evil or mischief; harmful or baleful. Aside from that, Maleficent is a fictional character in Walt Disney Pictures animated film, "Sleeping Beauty" in the year 1959. At present, Angelina Jolie portrays the Disney villainess character wherein the story evolves from the adversary's perspective. Showing on the 28th day of May, we're two days ahead from U.S. screening, (feeling so lucky!), Maleficent is believed to attract more moviegoers because of its unique point of view and of course, another plus factor is Angelina Jolie's unequivocal and very fitting performance.

Who would want to be a "maleficent'? Or should I say, do you know someone who's "maleficent" enough to ruin your day? Na-ah, of course we all don't want that kind of person in our lives, we just want someone whom we can call our best friend... or better yet, I wanna share you amazing peeps some tips to be that "best friend" ever in my own personal view.

20 Ways You Can Be The Best Friend Ever

1. Be yourself.
2. Don't expect too much, less expectations, more harmony.
3. Have a snuggle time, that's very comforting.
4. Share beauty secrets ;))
5. Re-create things with your best friend.
6. Don't hesitate to open up so he/ she'll feel comfortable with you too.
7. You can be frank but not tactless.
8. Never forget important dates.
9. Do shopping together, it's a therapy ;))
10. Never compare yourself to anyone.
11. Be sensitive to each other's needs and feelings. (it really helps)
12. Love unconditionally.
13. No distance could ever hinder your friendship.
14. Do pamper yourselves and enjoy together whenever possible.
15. Surprise your best friend!
16. Let your friend feel he/ she's important.
17. Have something identical which you can wear like friendship bands, ring, etc.
18. You can criticize constructively, they'll listen to you.
19. Remember the names of his/her love ones.
20. A real friend calls. If you can, try to also memorize their mobile nos.

Keeping in touch with your best friend even for a short time and at no distance, will help your friendship stay healthy and strong. One way to do this is by calling them. You know what, here's another good news!

"With GoUnli20, it’s now easy to call without a need for a prefix and it’s just P20 for unli calls, 15mb of mobile surfing, and 20 texts to all networks! Kaya if you need a friend, don’t call me, I’ll call you!”

Max's Restaurant treats their bloggers to a surprise Gilas Pilipinas Meet and Greet

Gilas Pilipinas 2014 players with Max's Restaurant branch managers doing the #PusoToTheMax sign

It wasn't just an ordinary night for Max's bloggers. First, we were treated with a fine dinner at Max's Restaurant in Glorietta 3. We never even had a hunch about what's gonna happen for the rest of the evening. We were just told to prepare ourselves to be taken to ULTRA then the venue was then later changed to Meralco Gym in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Everyone was so thrilled to find out what's in store for us that evening. A lot of queries were about Max's Meet and Greet for Coco Martin hahaha. Mixed emotions that's what we felt. To make the story short, the bus that will take us to our destination finally arrived!

Me with blogger-friends Gracee, Angelyn and Bedalyn during our trip to Meralco Gym the other night (May 19, 2014)

When we arrived, Sir Bobby Simborio, Max's Corporate Media and PR Manager warmly welcomed us and asked us if we have any idea why we were brought there hehehe. Everyone was clueless until he announced that Max's is the official restaurant of Gilas Pilipinas to Spain! So the reason why we're there was to surprise us to a Meet and Greet with the Gilas Pilipinas 2014 players who were having their basketball practice at the same time at Meralco Gym. So that explained why one of the recorded games of Gilas Pilipinas was being played on the bus' monitor during our trip hahaha ;) We were all surprised, in fairness! I really, really love surprises!!! Thank you Max's Family and to Bright Idea Events and Management.

That's Sir Bobby, he was busy distributing our Gilas Pilipinas shirts outside the gym

For most Filipinos, basketball is a passion. Afterall, it is still the country’s number one sport and we are fortunate to witness the Philippines attempt to climb back to the world basketball map.
Slated this year from August 30 to September 14, Spain will host the 2014 FIBA World Cup for basketball and our country is a participant after a long absence of 36 years.

For the unfamiliar, we last hosted this tournament in Manila in 1978, back then it was known as the ABC. (Asian Basketball Championship)Just participating in this prestigious event is by no means a small feat. All countries present in the tournament are either champions or runners-up in their regional qualifiers. Each have work hard to achieve the goal of entering this elite tournament. For the Philippines, we were runner-ups to  eventual champion Iran in the FIBA Asia Championships.

For the 12 players and team coaches of Gilas, it is an honor to represent their flag. It is also a proud achievement and a lifelong dream come true. But for all of us, it may be a chance in a lifetime for us to be able to witness a Philippine basketball team playing in the world stages again. A chance to showcase our talent and prove that us Filipinos are at par with the best in the world.

The very first persona I saw as we entered the gym was Gilas Pilipinas coach, Chot Reyes!

Of course, wouldn't miss the chance to have a picture with the legendary Norman Black, reprising his role as the defensive coordinator for Gilas Pilipinas

For the lineup, here are the players representing the country, namely; Japeth Aguilar, Jim Alapag, Jeffrey Chan, Gary David, Ranidel de Ocampo, Marcus Douthit, Junmar Fajardo, Larry Fonacier, Gabriel Norwood, Marc Pingris, LA Tenorio and Jayson Williams. Head coach is Chot Reyes.

This time, posing with 6'10" tower Junmar Fajardo, #DavidAndGoliath peg hahaha

Such an amazing feeling being flanked by these basketball superstars Jared Dillinger, Gabe Norwood and Beau Belga before the Gilas Pilipinas practice :))

OMG! Larry Fonacier in the house!

with 6'9" Japeth Aguilar, nice smile dude!

Andray Blatche of the NBA Brooklyn Nets is in the process of acquiring a Philippine Passport. If his documents is done in time, he may be able to join the team as the naturalized player therefore replacing Douthit. His addition is a much welcome reinforcement.

So why don't we say "Lumalaban ang Max's kasama ang #GilasPilipinas!"

Win or lose, this is the start of a new direction for the sport so many Filipinos love. We may not have the height but certainly we have the skills and talent to compete.

Let us show our full support to Team Gilas Pilipinas.
Go Philippines, fight, fight, fight!

Psychotherapy methods, group interaction, experiential processes, meditation and personal energy generation exercises combine to enable participants to draw personal insights for improved personal efficacy.

The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Shinette Sanchez-Garbanzos and Dr. R. Kevin Plata. Shinette, founder and proprietor of Da Seekers Cove, is a specialist in gestalt, enhancement of self-esteem, and conflict resolution. Trained at the US-based La Jolla Institute of the Person, she has consulted with multinationals, banks and government organizations. Beat the heat of summer at Drink Up Philippines

Quench your undying thirst brought about by summer in Drink Up Philippines, the country’s first alcohol festival focusing on local craft and international beer, handcrafted cocktails and quality wines, this coming May 24 at the Forum, BGC.

Expect to discover over 150 types of alcoholic concoctions with their fine roster of local bars and breweries, while Manila’s finest mixologists help you get the good kind of buzz.

“Drink Up has a very interesting mix of bars, speakeasies and breweries from all over the Philippines joining us at the festival. We also have the best home grown music talents performing at the festival,” shares Andrea Sambar, Communications Manager of Drink Up Philippines.

Among the popular names on the golden list will be Rocket Room, part of BGC’s haute bar scene, whose skilled mixologists will be there to serve you their famously odd, but brilliantly crafted mixes like the mysterious Rocket Fuel made with their special House Made JalapeƱo Pepper Vodka. Another bar to watch out for is the notably quirky Big Bad Wolf, a hidden hipster haven sought out by many for their twists on famous drinks.

For the beer connoisseurs, Drink Up scoured through the country searching for up and coming local breweries that the Philippines has to offer.  Brewers from all around the country, like Palawan, Baguio, and Iligan City will be present to showcase their personal brews, such as local brewery, Craftpoint Brewing Co., who will be debuting their German IPL, Mr. Braumeister.

Satisfy your taste buds and marry your drink with a wide array of mouthwatering dishes to complement your beverage and leave you eternally craving for more. With the help of choice restaurants like Pink Panda, celebrity chef Erwan Heussaff’s newest venture, get a taste of the rich South East Asian rich cuisine prepared with a modern twist. Travel over to Las Flores, whose scrumptious tapas will immediately transport you to Spain, served up wonderfully with a glass of their sangria.

Finally, soothe your soul with music by the amazing lineup of local bands with the likes of the Cebuano indie rock band, Urbandub, the Oktaves, and Filipino electrorock band, Pedicab.  Drink Up’s diverse lineup of musical acts will keep you company and provide you the perfect soundtrack to cap off your far from monotonous day.

Sambar added that festival-goers will be surprised at the surreal amount of beverages that will be present at the event. “We want everyone to try out something new and expand their palates. From exceptional local craft and international beers to specially prepared cocktails, everyone will definitely find something new to enjoy.”

With the wide variety of exceptional drinks, food and music in Drink Up’s arsenal, Drink Up will definitely be a festival you can count on to bring on the good vibes and unforgettable memories that will put you in a sunny mood even after summer’s over.
