"MICHAEL SOUNDS FAMILIAR" AT THE MUSIC MUSEUM ON DECEMBER 18!

Almost there!

Yes, Harana Prince Michael Pangilinan almost made it as grand champion in the recent Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 competition held at the Resorts World Manila but lost to Denise Laurel via text votes. It was a close fight and it was so exciting in fact.

"Denise was very good - it was anybody's game anyway. I didn't expect to land second. Maging bahagi lang ng Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 was a great experience already kaya to be part pa of the grand finals was so much of a blessing. I thank you all for the support. God bless us all," quipped Michael after the contest.

Michael Pangilinan did a heart-pounding perfect rendition of Adam Levine's SUGAR that won the crowd's heart. He trended on social media every second of the way after that sterling performance.

The treat is not over yet! Michael showcases anew in his post-birthday cum pre-Christmas concert this coming Friday, December 18, 2015 at 9 P.M. at the Music Museum in a very exciting show entitled MICHAEL SOUNDS FAMILIAR. His guests include Randy Santiago, Gabrielle Concepcion, Hashtag Nikko Seagal Natividad, EJ Salamante and Sexbombs Aira and Louise with Ivan Lee Espinosa as his musical director, produced by Jobert Sucaldito for Front Desk Entertainment Production.

"Mas maraming bago sa show naming ito. May dance showdown kami ni Nikko Seagal Natividad. Tingnan ko lang kung kakayanin ko siyang sabayan kasi husay ni Nikko sumayaw. Malay mo, baka dito ko ma-discover na dancer din pala ako sa totoong buhay. Ha! Ha! Ha!

"Kidding aside, I have prepared some new songs here. It will be a cool event - something our music lovers will remember after," Michael promises.

MICHAEL SOUNDS FAMILIAR will not be possible without the support of our dear presenters that include PLDT, Mang Inasal and Isabela Governor Bojie Dy. Hattendo offers Cream Buns wrapped in Furoshiki this Holiday Season

Of all the holidays, Christmas is known to be the Season of Giving.
This season, Hattendo offers you omiyage in furoshiki.
Omiyage is the Japanese version of Filipino pasalubong. Though unique in their own way, both omiyage and pasalubong is given to family and friends as a token.

Furoshiki, on the other hand, is an ancient Japanese tradition. It is a method of wrapping gifts and carrying items such as bento boxes, bottles or even books, using only a piece of cloth.
When Hattendo opened its first store in the Philippines, it was introduced as Japan's coolest omiyage. In fact it is so popular in Hiroshima, people line up outside its store in Mihara early in the morning just to get first pick of the cream buns. Mihara store serves about 500 buns, and always sold out before noon.

Give your loved ones something unique, Hattendo Japanese cream buns wrapped in Furoshiki this holiday season!

HATTENDO takes pride in presenting "Chilled Cream Buns" to new Asian market with 80+ years of experience to the highest quality of its products.
Chilled Cream Buns is a new food concept – a combination of sweets and bread that tastes great when chilled. It’s not your ordinary bread. A soft bun with cream filling so delectable, it will melt in your mouth.

In 2014, HATTENDO sought out partners outside Japan to share its success, offering dealership in many store formats.

The Hattendo History

"HATTENDO" is named after a small shrine that stood centuries in Hiroshima, Japan.  Travelers used to rest at this small temple and prayed for their safety.

"HATTENDO" also means "unlimited prosperity.“
Mr. Kaoru Morimitsu, the original founder, believed HATTENDO should be the brand name of his new venture, and opened the very first store in 1933.From then on, Hattendo became a family business and the secret recipe for delicious pastries was passed on from one generation to the next.
The company's success has continued for more than 80 years, and comes from its authenticity and the high quality of its products and services. The tradition of Hattendo lives on.

How cream buns are made
In order to ensure great taste and safe food, the bread-making, cream preparation, and wrapping are all done by hand inside the Hattendo Factory at Hiroshima, Japan.

1. Making the bread

The dough is very delicate. It must always be handmade so that it is never subjected to vibration or shock.

The dough is made by mixing flour, water, yeast, and other ingredients in an environment of complete hygienic control. After the first rise, the dough is divided carefully so as not to damage it, and then shaped by hand. The dough is then allowed to rise to a soft texture again in a fermentation chamber that is kept at the correct temperature and humidity. When the fresh-baked bread is taken from the oven, the plant is filled with a rich, sweet aroma.

2. Preparing the cream

This is an important step that cannot be left solely to machines.

The cream is prepared under careful human supervision.
The ingredients for the cream filling are mixed carefully and cooked gently in a large pot.  This step is the key, as the staff judge the quality of the cream by its viscosity, color, and water content. The resulting custard is then chilled, and mixed with whipped fresh cream from Hokkaido, creating a custard cream that melts easily in the mouth. This cream is the basis of all our products. Mixing this cream with select ingredients such as strawberry or green tea produces the various flavors that go into our cream buns.

3. Filling with cream & wrapping the bun

Because the cream buns are so soft, they will be torn if wrapped by a machine.

After the buns cool, each bun is filled with cream by hand.  The buns then pass through an X-ray inspection apparatus which checks that there is no contamination and that the buns are filled uniformly with cream. After inspection, the cream buns are carefully wrapped one by one.

With careful packaging and excellent logistic services, frozen buns are shipped exclusively to

C3 Premium Partnerships, Inc., via refrigerated transportation to ensure that safe and sanitary conditions are maintained throughout the products journey to the Philippines.

From the port, products will be transported by a reefer container, then stored in a temperature-controlled storage.  To preserve the quality of the frozen goods, a refrigerated van will be used for delivery to stores. Cream buns are thawed daily in the warehouse then distributed to each store.  Once buns are thawed properly, each must be kept chilled before serving.  For best quality, cream buns must be consumed within 24hours, preferably by 2pm of the following day, based on Japanese standards.

It wasn't long ago when Hattendo opened its first store in the Philippines.  It was in the middle of May 2015, at Mega Fashion Hall SM Megamall, where people lined up to get a taste of Hiroshima's most popular cream bun!

All cream buns are baked and hand wrapped in Hiroshima, Japan, then shipped frozen to the Philippines, Korea and Taiwan.  Thawing is done 24 hours prior to serving/selling, under strict temperature management. The store's design is patterned after Japan's style, with visible wood grain finish.  Cream buns are displayed in an enclosed glass chiller, maintaining 5°C, as per Japan's standards for best quality.

Hattendo's second store opened almost simultaneously with the first, in one of the biggest mall in the metro, SM Mall of Asia. Six months after the succesful opening of the first two stores, Hattendo has opened its third store in Greenhills Theatre Mall.

Unlike the first two stores, this one is different because it is an inline kiosk and there is a counter table top across, where customers can rest and bite into the creamy goodness of Hattendo buns.
Drinks are also offered as perfect combination to the delicious cream buns.  Customers may choose from any of the following beverage: canned coffee, milk, flavored tea or water. All drinks are served chilled, just like the cream buns. Bundle order starts at P250. It comes with 2 pcs cream bun and 1 drink.

Come visit Hattendo and sink your teeth into the famous Hiroshima cream buns, available in seven delectable flavors: custard, whipped cream, matcha, chocolate, azuki, mango, and chestnut.  Cream buns are sold at P118 per piece.  It is also available in pack of 4 (P420) and box of 6 (P600).
