Logitech brings an exclusive trade-up promo to its Rewards App members this 2020. The trade-up campaign enables members of the LOGI Rewards App to swap their old mouse, keyboards or headsets for e-discount vouchers at various pop-up booths, at the following venues and dates:

To participate, customers may exchange/trade their old pc peripherals to the Logitech representative at the pop-up booth for evaluation and classification (gaming or non-gaming items). Working or non-working mice, keyboards, and headsets of any brand will be accepted. Once the surrendered item has been classified, the Logitech representative will require customers to complete the trade-up process through the Logi Rewards App.

On the app’s homepage, customers need to click on the Trade-Up button, and enter the date along with the category and type of gadget they are trading in. After this, the Logitech representative will scan the corresponding QR code for the trade-up. E-vouchers amounting to PHP200 or PHP500, will automatically be received through the Logitech Rewards App. Customers may trade-up more than one product to avail of additional discount vouchers.

Those who are not members of the app may also avail of the promo and are invited to participate.

Bigger and better Get Reel Film Festival 2020 now accepts entries



World-class leather accessories brand McJim Classic Leather brings back Get Reel Film Festival 2020, a bigger and more challenging edition of last year’s successful Get Reel Mobile Shorts Film Festival.

This time around, the competition is accepting entries that touch on the theme, “Filipino Values Beyond Generations.”

The 2020 Get Reel Film Festival is upping the ante with two brand-new categories: the Main Competition for professional and amateur filmmakers using digital cameras and the Brand Digital Ads category for innovative ads for McJim Classic Leather. These will complement the Mobile Shorts Competition for users of mobile phone cameras.

Professional and amateur filmmakers now have more opportunities to showcase their talents and share stories displaying the timeless values of the modern Filipino gentleman.

The winning entries from the 2020 Get Reel Film Festival will join the prestigious group of notable films from last year’s Mobile Shorts Competition: 

Dylan Ray Talon’s Walang Hanggang Ligaya Sa Una Mong Ngiti; James Edward Golla’s May Love Life Na Si Pepito Jr.; and John Carlo Balasbas Tarobal’s Champion, which all garnered critical acclaim for their inspiring stories and excellent filmmaking.

Cash prizes and trophies await the festival winners.

Chris Cahilig, award-winning filmmaker and festival director, says, “Through the powerful medium of filmmaking, a brand breaks into the new media to advance its social cause and deliver good value and entertainment to its audience.”

Cahilig’s hope is for the festival to provide a platform for aspiring filmmakers. “Get Reel Film Festival 2020 aims to inspire more filmmakers to create moving, relatable, and distinctly Filipino narratives that will be screened online,” he says.

The festival is open to all Filipino filmmakers from around the world. All entries to the Main Competition and the Mobile Shorts Competition must have a minimum length of two (2) minutes and a maximum length of ten (10) minutes, including opening and closing credits. Films of all genres are qualified to participate.




The selected films will be eligible for eight awards: The McJim Prize for Best Short Film (P50,000); 2nd Prize for Best Short Film (P30,000); Best Director (P25,000); Best Inspirational Story (P10,000); Best in Cinematography (P10,000); Best Actor (P10,000); Best Actress (P10,000); Best Screenplay (P10,000); and the Get Reel Viral Film Award (P10,000). Winners will be chosen for both the Main Competition and the Mobile Shorts Competition.

Entries to the Brand Digital Ads category must have a maximum length of sixty (60) and depict a modern Filipino gentleman as the lead character. The select brand digital ads will be eligible for the following prizes: 1st Prize (P100,000); 2nd Prize (P50,000); and 3rd Prize (P25,000).

All films submitted should be recorded and edited in not less than 720 HD format, but using 1080 HD is highly recommended. Only digital submissions emailed to mcjimtv@gmail.com will be accepted.

All submitted films must use any McJim Classic Leather accessories (bags, belts, wallets) as an organic part of the narratives.   

A panel of judges will determine the finalists and winners through a deliberation. The results will be final and irrevocable.

No film entry shall be an imitation or plagiarized version of any copyrighted work. Get Reel Film Festival and its organizers will not be responsible for any copyright infringement committed by the participants.

The deadline for submission is on May 20, 2020. The finalists will be announced on June 15, 2020, and the winners will be awarded on July 15, 2020.

Participating filmmakers must be willing to have their works posted on various social media accounts of McJim Classic Leather and its agency, Insight 360 Consultancy Services, Inc.

Mass Wedding for 25 Dumagat couples was officiated by SJDM Mayor Art Robes at The Rising HeARt marker

February 11, 2020 iwas a very memorable date for the San Josenos, most especially for the Dumagat tribe. Aside from celebrating the Feast Day of  Our Lady of Lourdes, San Juan Del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes had also decided to come up with another worthwhile plan of officiating a mass wedding for 25 Dumagat tribe couples at  "The Rising heARt" marker. This is also in line with the upcoming celebration of Valentine's Day. 

The said marker was officially inaugurated just the night before the mass wedding {February 10,2020)  to increase the public's awareness of  SJDM's bid to be recognized as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) . This marker also serves as a  constant reminder  to each and everyone of us that,  no matter how chaotic our world is, we  should all be governed by love, peace and compassion  towards one another.

The Dumagats one of the major groups of indigenous peoples in the Southern Tagalog region. Though they are know to be nomadic, a number of them are now living in more than 47 government-designated settlement areas. SJDM hosts one of these settlements. "This is just one of the many ways for us to embrace the indigenous peoples who are part of our community," said Mayor Robes. "They can continue with their traditions but, at the same time, they can be part of the bigger community. They're one of us. Officiating a wedding ceremony for them is a great honor. I thank them for letting me become a part of their special day."




The marker has an accompanying heart-shaped structure  that serves as a love-lock repository. 



We can also feel the cold breeze and amazing scenic spot right from the marker, since this is located at the top of mountain in Barangka Road, Brgy. Paradise III in San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.

Dumagat tribe head Benjamin San Jose went emotional  when he expressed his overwhelming gratitude for SJDM's "Power Couple" Mayor Arthur Robes and Congresswoman  Rida Robes  for coming up with this mass wedding for his beloved Dumagat tribe.  Please do watch our interview with him. 










The couples, who wore their tribal ensembles, exchanged their "I dos" and Mayor Robes made their unions official.



Indeed, love is the air!!!  To all the newly-weds, Best Wishes and Congratulations to all of you! You all deserve this! Hope that the pure intention and advocacy of the  "power couple"  that we should all release and share love, peace and compassion with each other no matter how crazy, inconsistent and cruel our world could get.

The 27th PTAA Travel Tour Expo recognizes Top 10 Most Traveled Celebs


Now on its 27th year of hosting successful travel tour expos, the PTAA (Philippine  Travel Agencies Association), boasts and assures everyone of up jaw-dropping discounts on travel fare, accommodations, tours and more! 

The three-day expo happens on February 7 to 9, 2020 at the Halls 1-4 of SMX Convention Center in  Pasay City and there will also be booths at the  second floor. Come as early as possible! The expo opens at around 9:00 AM 'til 7PM (Friday and Saturday) and until 8PM on Sunday. 

In line with this, the PTAA committee headed by Chairman Ritchie Tuano, together with the Vice Chairman Ma. Michelle  Victoria had announced just recently the Top 10 Most Traveled Celebrities in our country during the PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2020 media launch.

According to Mr. Tuano, they've created a special team to closely monitor the social media posts and activities of the celebrities for the past two years, that's why, they had come up with such list. The reason why they did this, is to recognize the worth and value of the celebrities since they were posting and making an awareness to the public of the different tourist spots not only here but also out of the country. The significance of their engagements in the social media has inspired and influenced their followers to also explore and travel like their fave celebrities. 

The featured guest celebrities for the three-day travel tour expo will be Glaiza De Castro, SB19 and Karylle, respectively. 

Entry tickets to the said travel expo can be bought at the SMX Convention entrance. The tickets cost Php70.00  for general admission (including students and children) and Php50.00 for senior citizens. The entrance is free for all Citi Card Holders, they just have to present a valid ID along with their card. Students may enter for FREE only on February 7 (Friday), provided that they present their school ID at the ticket counter. Tickets are priced on a per day basis. 

Take note that this will be an on-site booking/ reservation system, so it's best to have your travel plans with you. Payment thru cash or card  transactions are accepted.  They will be offering also  event-exclusive deals on travel accommodations, through participating hotel , resort companies and travel agencies exhibitors .
