"Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" Graded B by the CEB

"Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz," is a Filipino horror film by the same creators of the blockbuster movie, "Seklusyon." Initial offering of Lamikaze Pictures, a joint venture project of VIVA Films and Reality Entertainment produced by no other than, award-winning director Erik Matti and directed by Katski Flores. This serves as her comeback film. Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) and rate R-13 by the MTRB.

So what does it mean if a particular movie was rated "A" or "B" by the CEB? I've done my research and Wikipilipinas.org says, "The Board reviews and grades the quality of films that are to be shown to the public. It also awards tax incentives to films graded “A” and “B” as a way of encouraging Filipino filmmakers to produce more quality films and increase the international marketability of Philippine cinema."

I guess, this is a better way of encouraging Filipino filmmakers to really make an effort to produce and create such quality films that can pass international standards as well. Goan thinking! Well anyway, having received such "B" grade, this movie "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz," is one horror film to watch.

Now for my review, the setting was within a local province.

Sarah Lahbati
Sarah Lahbati plays Ruth Liwanag, a police officer facing an entity darker than she’s ever encountered. This is her big screen comeback after seven years.  Her last film was also a horror film called “White House”.

Sarah Lahbati as Ruth Liwanag

Shortly after moving into a new town and still grieving over the death of her brother, Ruth witnesses a young woman named Leah (Shy Carlos) jump out of a balcony. Joining the investigation, she must piece together the lies and secrets of the people close to Leah before the demon takes hold of her.

Sarah expressed her excitement over this project with an instagram post of her photo with Erik Matti and Katski Flores, whom she called “veteran director” and “genius director”, respectively.  She captioned it with, “seriously cannot wait for you to watch Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz.”

Sarah with real life partner Richard Gutierrez during the movie's special screening in Galleria

Ruth, is a plain example of a woman inflicted with many pains of her past and is still suffering from it, she finds refuge by going back to their hometown. But the horrific scenes and situations that she has engaged into has haunted her even more also appearing in her dreams. This odd happenings has developed something inside her that would even create more conflicts and puzzle in her character and will still be evident until the ending. (without spoiling).

I haven't watched Sarah's acting on big screen before, but I've watch few of her acting stints on tv, I must commend her for portraying a role that's exactly opposite of her real personality. She gave justice to her character and I can't seem to notice any trace of her being a "kikay," or "bubbly."  Playing Ruth, the police officer is something new to her and I thought she dig it and it was a rough and tough one.

Shy Carlos
After her “Tasya Fantasya” series on TV5, Shy Carlos takes on another title role, but this time in a much darker fantasy story, “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz”.   This is her second lead role in a horror movie following “Chain Mail” in 2015.

Leah has a reputation of being simple and innocent, but this is brought into question when she begins to act in strange ways that cause harm to those around her.  She grows fearful and helpless as things  completely get out of hand.  Her hope lies in Ruth (Sarah Lahbati), a police officer investigating on her case, but the devil is out to get her as well.

Shy Carlos as Leah Dela Cruz

I've seen Shy as a young girl, she was one of the members of  Viva Records' all-girl group Pop Girls along with amother Viva artist, Nadine Lustre way back in 2009. Aside from possessing a great voice, she also feels comfortable in acting and I can also feel that on screen whenever I watch her.

Pretty and friendly Shy Carlos during "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" special screening held at Robinsons Movie World in Galleria

Growing up, Shy's veratility has developed and for every project she makes, her performance is always recognizable. Aside from having joined some youth-oriented shows on tv like the "Bagets" aired on TV5 Manila, playing best friends to the lead characters in romcom movies like Viva Films' "Girlfriend for Hire," and some dramatic stints she has done in "MMK" (Maalaala Mo Kaya), Shy was also part of the horror film, "Chain Mail," shown in 2015.

According to the very talented artist, her preparations for her title-roler film, "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz," was, they all did a workshop to immerse themselves into their respective characters. In this movie, we should not expect scenes like those of other Hollywood exorcism flicks like "The Exorcist," wherein the lead role played by Linda Blair, being possessed by a demon, was tied on her bed throwing up unpleasant entities from her mouth, bad-mouthing the priest while the priest has to go thru a lot of struggles and demonic battle and perform exorcism. Here in "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz," the writer did away from that.

Leah's possessed character has to jump from the balcony of their house and go through the woods poorly lit in the middle of the night and climb up a tree. These scenes you really have to look forward to, because according to Shy, she did all the stunts here (brave girl) and that's one thing I admire about her. The shifts in her characters and facial expressions was very crucial but she did it and I know she also did her best. I commend her for that, since most of the weight of the story really rely on her character, I thought she nailed it.

Julian Trono
Prince of the Dance Floor Julian Trono won’t be able to dance his way out of terror in the movie         “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz."

Julian plays Gabriel, a young man who likes bringing good vibes to people.  He is childhood friends with Leah (Shy Carlos) and has deep affections for her.  When Leah begins to act strange, to the extent of jumping from a balcony, he begs a police officer (Sarah Lahbati) to investigate.  But what he’ll find out about Leah might break his heart.

Julian Trono plays Gabriel

I've known Julian since his GMA Artist days, I first encountered him during the "Niño," blogcon aired on GMA Network in the year 2014 and he was seventeen years old that time. Being such an eloquent dancer, he was more inclined and was trained to perform in a Korean Pop (K-Pop) system. His first love is dancing actually according to him but Julian has also a distinct singing voice that's why Viva Records has signed him up via his debut single "Balang Araw."

Julian Trono during the movie's special screening in UP Cine Adarna

Julian's character as Gabriel is an innocent looking and very friendly young man who sees life very lightly and that he feels positive in everything that's happening around him. But the dark side of his character was, he isn't ready for the ugly truth, for the real world, for the real battle of life. Being Leah's childhood friend and love interest, he's full of hope that someday, they'll be together in a "relationship."

Julian and Shy together at the special screening held at UP Cine Adarna

Sarah Lahbati and Julian Trono in one of their scenes in the movie

One question that was brought up during their meet and greet/ Q&A portion right after the movie's special screening at UP Cine Adarna was, "Is there any relevance to Gabriel's character the way he always gives Ruth (Sarah) a hug everytime they were together in a scene?" Actually those acts of Gabriel was a breath of fresh air, just like an ice-breaker, a relief in the movie. Maybe the writer of the director has intended to include that for the purpose of not to drag the scenes. It was quite effective, to tell you honestly we really find it yes, a bit annoying if you pertain to his character but it was entertaining though. You can hear the different reactions from the audience and it has created an impact huh?! So, better take note of those "hug" scenes. :))

Gabriel's character is a proof that, no matter how saintly or innocent you are, there's always a triggering factor that could unleash our dark sides. So goes the phrase, "There's a demon in all of us." But I am only talking about the story and its characters okay, I am not reiterating that it could also happen to all of us. Of course, we all have our God, our beliefs and if we just hold on to our faith and love God above all, I am pretty sure nothing could ever go wrong. Just lead the straight and right path. However, we are all "Anak ng Diyos," (Children of God). Take note of that!

One last thing, I just wanna comment on Marite's character (Leah's Mom), maybe if they have gotten another actress that could be more fitting to the very her delicate role, it could add to the glory of the whole film but it's my opinion anyway, we are all entitled to it, right?!

Overall, this movie will give you the thrills, the terrifying screams are there and the horrific and breath-taking scenes will keep you hanging (in a good scary way)  and will go through your heads thinking ... how could this movie end?

Do watch it with your family, loved ones and friends, because it's good to be screaming back there and teasing each other while being scared all at the same time!

Congrats guys! You did it!!!

Ed Sheeran coming in Manila this November

MANILA, MOA CONCERT GROUNDS
7 NOVEMBER 2017

ED CONTINUES TO DOMINATE THE CHARTS WORLDWIDE WITH
“SHAPE OF YOU” & “CASTLE ON THE HILL” (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
 ÷ (DIVIDE) OUT NOW

AEG Presents and Ovation Productions are excited to announce that celebrated singer songwriter Ed Sheeran is bringing his highly anticipated World Tour to Manila on 7 November 2017 at the MOA Concert Grounds. Tickets for the show priced at P13040, 11450, 8290, 4060, 3010, 1950 will be sold starting 10 June 2017 at www.smtickets.com.

The touring news comes straight off the back of a phenomenal few weeks for 26-year-old Ed Sheeran. Kicking-off music in 2017 and delivering the biggest musical comeback in recent years, Ed’s dual singles “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill” have taken the globe by storm, hitting the #1 and #2 spots across the charts worldwide while seeing the Suffolk native break a magnitude of records along the way. On course to cement his third week at #1 & #2 respectively in the UK’s Official Singles Chart tomorrow [Ed made OCC history as the first-ever artist to land the two spots respectively with two brand new tracks], Ed recently conquered more milestones in the USA after landing his first-ever #1 as a performer on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Shape Of You" - with "Castle On The Hill" sitting closely behind at #6 on the chart, Ed also became the first artist to debut in Billboard's 'Top 10' with two songs simultaneously.

Not to mention the huge assortment of Spotify records broken by the troubadour this month, making history with their biggest-ever ‘one week’ and ‘one day’ streams for a track, globally with “Shape Of You” (the records were previously held by Drake’s “One Dance” and Adele’s “Hello”, respectively). Moreover, Ed topped the streaming service’s biggest-ever opening 24 hour streams with both singles, surpassing previous title holders, One Direction. Reaching 132 combined #1 iTunes positions around the world and accomplishing Apple Music’s biggest-ever ‘day’ and ‘one week’ streams, the two singles have accumulated over 370 MILLION worldwide streams to date. Launched on Monday, Ed’s official video for “Castle On The Hill”, which was shot in his native Framlingham, Suffolk, has already reached over 10 million hits!

In addition to Ed’s epic rise with his recorded music, the Suffolk-born artist has also broken records in the live sphere over recent years. In July 2015 Ed took to the stage of Wembley Stadium, solo, becoming the first-ever artist to headline the prestigious venue without a band - with just his trademark loop pedal and guitar – seeing him play to 240,000 people over three consecutive sold-out nights! Securing a very special collaboration with Sir Elton John on the opening night, Ed followed with the release of his live DVD ‘Jumpers for Goalposts’ at the end of 2015, documenting the lead-up and live performances from the Wembley weekend. Moreover, not only has Ed caught the headlines with his phenomenal solo concerts, he's also been involved in an array of spellbinding collaborative performances over his career to date, further proving his colossal status in the musical world - in 2012, Ed performed at the London Olympics' closing ceremony alongside members of Pink Floyd and Genesis for a very special version of "Wish You Were Here" and in 2015, Ed shared the stage with Beyonce and Gary Clark Jr. at that year's Grammy tribute for Stevie Wonder.

Ed Sheeran’s genre-defying third studio album ÷ (divide) was released on 3rd March through Asylum/Atlantic Records (available now).

"Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" special screening highlights and sidelights

The special screening of the movie "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" last Monday, June 19, at Robinsons Galleria Movie World, turned out to be a well-attended one in terms of the cast presence, other celebrities who showed their support for the film, different media outfits and bloggers.

We had spotted Yanna Asistio, Ria Atayde, Phoemela Barranda and a lot more including some Viva artists. First one to came in was Shy Carlos, who plays the title role Leah Dela Cruz in the story. Shy has a very pleasant and sweet personality, you would never imagine her portraying the role of a possessed young woman.

Shy Carlos during our interview with her at #AngPagsanibKayLeahDelaCruz special screening

Shy has been a part of a horror movie before entitled "Chain Mail,"  under Viva Films sometime in 2015 with Nadine Lustre and Meg Imperial. But this time, is a very different and more challenging role for her. She admitted that she did all the stunts in the movie and I guess, you really have to take note of those scenes once you're inside the cinema. It was indeed a shocker! Shy was like a stunt woman in disguise, an exact opposite of what she really is in person.

Julian Trono and Shy Carlos

Julian arrived at the special screening while we were interviewing Shy. He plays Gabriel, childhood friend and love interest of Leah in the story. His character here is so light that you would see him as an innocent young man. There were raves about some "hug" scenes between him and Sarah Lahbati in the movie and it's for you to find out if it is really essential in the movie or if he was able to justify his actions.

Julian Trono plays Gabriel in #AngPagsanibKayLeahDelaCruz

Sarah Lahbati with Shy Carlos

Another character in the movie that you must watch out for is Sarah Lahbati's. She plays Ruth Liwanag in the story, a policewoman who opted to to make herself distant from others.

It was my first time to watch Sarah in a film. And I've learned from one of the interviews with her that she's so over with pa-tweetums and sweet roles that was usually given to her before. I admire Sarah's portrayal of a very tough character. I can't seem to notice her girly and bubbly personality. It's really like watching a different person. You should all be attentive to her feelings and actions here until the end of the story. You'll find out what I'm talking about 'coz a surprise twist awaits you.

Part of the sidelight of the "Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" special screening was the surprise appearance of actor Richard Gutierrez, partner of Sarah in real life. Sarah was very surprised and teary-eyed when Richard had suddenly popped out from nowhere with a bunch of flowers for her.

You should see the whole "surprise" scenario .here.

Other behind the scenes check it out here.

This movie will give you thrills, will keep you hanging (in a good scary way)  and will go through your heads thinking ... how could this movie end.

Do watch it with your family, loved ones and friends, because it's good to be screaming back there and teasing each other while being all scared at the same time!

"Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz" opens on June 28, 2017 in cinemas nationwide! This is from the same makers of the movie "Seklusyon," KAMIKAZE Pictures, Graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated R13 without cuts by the MTRCB.

How does Marian Rivera make Garantisadong Ginisarap dishes?

Marian Rivera-Dantes is used to playing different characters: Primetime Queen, recording artist, brand ambassador, style icon, and philanthropist.
But her favorite roles by far have been those behind the camera: as wife to Dingdong and mom to Baby Zia.

As a modern homemaker, who manages her time between work and family, Marian has found comfort in cooking as one of the best ways to
make her family feel loved and to improve her culinary skills. On her social media pages, the Kapuso actress has posted some of her own culinary creations that range from baby food for little Zia, stews, soups, and veggies. And on days when Marian is short on time, stir-fry dishes have
become her go-to choices for easy, yummy meals.

Topping her stir-fry list are Chopsuey and Fried Rice made with AJI-GINISA®
Flavor Seasoning Mix, as seen in the seasoning’s two new TVCs which began airing last June 4, 2017. In both versions, Marian dances and sings to the tune of her hit song, “Sabay-sabay Tayo,’ while she adds AJI-GINISA® to each dish to make them more delicious and “Garantisadong Ginisarap.”

Like Marian, you can also whip up “Garantisadong Ginisarap” dishes – even non-vegetable ones – by
adding a touch of AJI-GINISA® to your favorite stir-fry recipes.

HANEP Buhay: Entrepreneurship Made Easy

One of the buzzwords that emerged out of 2016 is the “side hustle”, referring to income one earns outside one’s regular job. That the first world has lent mainstream credence relatively recently to this term may be amusing to entrepreneurial Pinoys who have long practiced or recognized the need for a side hustle, or what we’ve called it for years before the modern lexicon wanted to make it hipper, the “sideline”.
Still for many, taking a full head-on plunge into entrepreneurship is intimidating, but Best Value Factory Food Outlet’s HANEP Negosyo program makes it easier for anyone trying to venture into a side business and even grow it enough to become a full-fledged entrepreneur.
What the HANEP (informally short for HanepBuhay) program does is package small food businesses, consisting of a machine and free initial supply of goods to get you started. You can choose from a different array of machines and price points. The cheapest is the fryer, where for Php2,900, you can already start selling fries, squid balls, and snacks of that variety in your neighborhood/school, provided, of course, zoning laws allow it and you have already obtained the proper permits.

The best thing about getting your HanepNegosyo package from Best Value is the quality of the products and the support they provide their customers. “The original intention is for us to penetrate the market with our products,” explains Princess Guia, Sales and Operations Supervisor of Best Value. “We deliberately priced it low because the goal is not the one time purchase of the machine itself, but for the repeat purchase of consumables.” And customers have done just that. Best Value has seen the demand for their products rise with the introduction of the HanepNegosyoprogram.
Customers who have contracts with other suppliers often switch to Best Value’s products once contracts with their previous suppliers have ended because of the quality. “Even if our soft serve mixes are not as cheap as our competitors, I have talked to customers who switched to us because they preferred the taste and texture of our soft serve mixes,” says Guia.

That Best Value gets most of their supplies from their mother company, Oleo-Fats, a specialty food manufacturer, means these products are sold at factory prices. It is significant to note that however, that Best Value also carries an entire array of products and not just those manufactured by their company. Best Value has come to evolve from being a selling arm of the Oleo-Fats, into a full-fledged store, that sources their products from various companies to service their customers.
The convenience for entrepreneurs of not having to source products from multiple suppliers cannot be overemphasized. Best Value is a one stop shop that carries everything their customers could possibly need. For instance, the store does not only carry popcorn kernels, but also popcorn oil (there is a special oil to best pop corn kernels, also for color and butter scent), flavoring powder, and the various-sized holders as well. For the soft serve ice-cream machines, Best Value carries not just the powder mixes, butalso dips, hard shell coating, syrups, and a whole variety of toppings, as well as cones, cups, even spoons.
The Hanep brand currently carries seven packages: Fryer, Popcorn Maker, Soft Serve Ice Cream, Juice, Granita, 3-in-1 Vendo, and the Waffle Maker, that comes in both conventional square waffle and hotdog size. The machines range in price from Php2,900 for the fryer; the waffle maker is Php8,500; the juice dispensers are around Php18,000, at the top of the range are soft serve machines at P100,000+, and Guia adds the mixes, other related ingredients and materials, all for free, “Basically everything they need to start.” And it’s not a paltry amount. The soft serve package comes with 10 kilos of mixes, “which amounts to 30 cones with 2.5 regular twirls,” recites Guia, as well as dips, fudge and sprinkles. And yes, you will be taught to twirl because not twirling the right amount will cost you. Hanep also keeps an eye on business trends. More recently, the rise in kiosks serving churros has seen the company develop a churros package.  “Our goal is to come up with more Negosyo packages,” Guia offers.

What Best Value offers that other companies may not is machine warranty and continuing customer support. Some of the machines, like the Granita dispenser come from Italy, and the care and maintenance of the machine is a major consideration. But the Hanep program really encourages entrepreneurial ventures, with low risk outlays and even offering HANEP packages on installment. They even have refurbished machines at cheaper prices. The demand for machines is so high, that they sometimes ran out of machines. Hanep offers one year warranties on their machines, and you can still take the machine to Best Value for repairs after the warranty has ended. If you happen to be near their office in the Libis area, the company is willing to send their repairman to your place of business. “We’re very flexible with our customers,” says Guia. They service clients all over the country and will ship machines out to their provincial clients. There are no franchise fees or royalty fees, which really gives the control of the business to the entrepreneur.

The margins are small, but the goal is for the customer to see the value of our products. We want their trust. And it’s not just the products, what we really give them is the service,” says Guia. “I once read,‘The customer doesn’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.’” – a dictum Best Value has certainly taken to heart.

Meditate Towards Lasting Happiness

Think of the human mind as a hard drive where all your life experiences are stored like pictures. We’re all familiar with the phrase, “I just can’t shake that picture out of my mind”, and this is also true in the metaphorical sense. We just can’t let go of certain experiences, and this affects how we go about the world. Often, this holds us back from achieving our true potential self because we are bogged down by the emotions and memories that our minds have held on to for so long.

We tend to look outside ourselves for the answers to life’s pressing problems, but to practitioners of meditation the answer always lies within ourselves.  Makati Meditation and Ortigas Meditation are two groups in the Philippines that encourage the practice of subtraction meditation as a method towards lasting happiness.

Humans take pictures of all experiences through the five senses – eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and body- and store those pictures in the mind. Pictures of our family, our childhood, fighting with friends, even memories of our first love, we have taken pictures of them and stored them in our mind. Stress, worries and all the moments of hardships are pictures in our mind. These pictures trouble us and we cannot escape from this for the rest of our lives. Throwing away these pictures in the mind is the Subtraction Meditation method.

The Subtraction Meditation is a meditation method that is composed of seven levels which is about throwing away the false mind or pictures in the human mind. The meditation helper guides students in each level. As one goes through the levels, practitioners eventually enlighten by themselves.

The first step is letting go. For stand-up comedian Tim Tayag, this has been key, “Now I can let go of my past, my mistakes, my false minds, and even meditation itself. As a result, I have a better disposition, and I am much happier.”

The change towards lasting happiness starts with self-reflection. Through the practice of meditation, the time and energy spent on useless thoughts are lessened, allowing one’s self to focus on the most important things in life. Before we start new things we should take time to look back to the past and assess ourselves. This also applies to our workplace, school and community. We examine our success and failures; we learn from our past mistakes and prepare to do better in the future. For Emil Capino, a Chief Technology Officer, this came in the form of a more efficient work performance that has also spread to other areas in his life. “I can break-free from all the stress, worries and anxieties coming from my job,” says Capino. “Now I can do and accomplish more with a peace of mind and real happiness that no amount of money can provide.”

Meditation is the process of reflecting on one’s inner self to deeply understand ourselves. When we know ourselves completely, we can live the life that we want. Through meditation, we can find wise and practical solutions to all the root cause of our problems and complex situations that we face in our daily lives. “I have realized many benefits including mental clarity and greater patience,” says Reggie Ofrin, a Mechanical Engineer by profession. “Now I can smile even on the road during blood-curdling traffic jams.”

As much as we empty our mind, the more our inner strength takes root. When we empty our minds, the human mind transforms. Through meditation, one can have a broad and caring mind, being considerate of others, smiling more often, being calm and becoming more focused coming from inner peace. Having a clear mind, one can make wiser decisions in every moment. “I can find my inner peace without self-defeating talk or having to worry about judgement or criticism from other people,” says practitioner GerilynBaltan, who is a marketing manager by profession. The benefits of meditation bleed onto every aspect of your life. The normal tendency is to fix problems at hand which may not necessarily address to root cause of those problems, meditation is a holistic approach that everyone can do if they just take the time.

At Makati Meditation practitioners come to the center usually after work. Some of them come around lunch time or before work so they can make use of their time meditating in the center instead of being stuck in traffic.

They cannot emphasize enough that anyone can do meditation. Practitioners range from businessmen, employees, students, housewives etc.  People from all walks of life with diverse religious beliefs and nationalities come to meditate. While the language that surrounds meditation can be a heady concept, the objectives are very grounded. Increasing self-confidence, overcoming traumatic experiences, eliminating stress are just some of the main ones. So for people who hesitate with the jargon and find that inner peace is a little too abstract, there’s still a takeaway for them here.

At Makati Meditation and Ortigas Meditation, they often start with a lecture before meditation, which includes achieving the proper posture and participants are guided through the session accordingly. For beginners, this is a helpful process to orient oneself to the practice. Even longtime practitioners find guided meditations helpful when they’re finding it particularly difficult to quiet the mind.

At Makati Meditation they encourage participants to meditate twice a week. At first, a one on one session with an instructor is advised, but after two weeks, practitioners can choose to join the group class. Studies show that group meditations are an even more powerful force for peace.
Entrepreneur Catherine Dy credits meditation as a practice that helped her live a happier life, “I am free from stress, fear and anxiety. I am living a life full of joy, peace and gratitude.”

Jolina, Mark & Pele continue to support Super Twins baby diaper

Been always a fan of Jolina Magdangal ever since. I truly believe in her genuine talent and super bubbly and positive personality. No wonder her family life and career's so booming and blooming. She's been receiving continuous blessings.

During our interview with her before at the Super Twins presscon, she was so excited to tell us the good news that they are presently working on her reunion movie with her long time showbiz love team, Marvin Agustin. I bet aside from me, their love team fans and supporters are equally excited as well.

She's been also hoping to sing the soundtrack of the said movie and that she even shared to us that she's so looking forward to doing this comeback movie of their tandem having read its full story. It is a romantic family comedy she added. You can check more details of our interview here.

Jolina "Jolens" Magdangal-Escueta

Aside from her upcoming project with Marvin, Jolens together with other momshies and her real life friends Karla Estrada and Melai Cantiveros had recently celebrated their month-long first year anniversary of their morning program, "Magandang Buhay," (Beautiful Life). The show's been very successful as it caters to mostly moms and every adult who can relate to their very inspiring and meaningful topics. It airs every morning during weekdays right after "Umagang Kay Ganda," over Kapamilya Network, ABS-CBN.
Jolens is very thankful and that she admitted that she never imagined that their show would reach this far and be successful and that the people would really accept and appreciate everything that they do for the show's progress. I, myself, is a self-confessed momshie and a true fan of their trio and the whole show.

Going to her fashion sense ala Jolens, she says, she always make it a point to have something colorful to wear be it a top, dress, pants or any accessory as long as she has something colorful to fully complete her outfit and have it as accent as well. If you want to watch our interview with her regarding this please click here.

Thanks so much Jolens for coming so early before your presscon, and because of that, we were able to have a chit-chat that we appreciate so much and forever cherish. Thank you for being you!

And now going to the main topic of the Escueta family's continuous support for Super Twins baby diaper... here are the rest of the details.

Ms. Aileen Choi-Go, VP for Marketing of Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc. , Jolina Magdangal, Mark Escueta and their baby Pele during the presscon.

HANDS-ON PARENTS JOLINA MAGDANGAL-ESCUETA AND HUSBAND MARK ARE JUST AMAZED AT HOW THEIR THREE-YEAR-OLD SON, PELE, IS LITERALLY GROWING UP BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES.

“BEFORE, ALAM KO LANG NA SOBRRANG OBSERVANT NI PELE, CURIOUS SIYA SA MGA BAGAY SA PALIGID. NGAYON NAGUGULAT NA LANG KAMI NA MAY MGA WORDS OR PHRASES SIYANG SASABIHIN NA HINDI NAMAN NAMIN TINUTURO OR GINAGAMIT. PATI MGA KANTA NA MINSAN NIYA LANG NARINIG, NAAALALA NIYA AT MINSAN BIGLA NA LANG KAKANTA KAHIT TONO LANG OR IBA-IBA LYRICS,” MARK SHARES.

“DATI, HE USUALLY PLAYS IN ONE PLACE PERO NGAYON TAKBO NA SIYA NANG TAKBO, TALON NANG TALON. SO KUNG BEFORE, HE WEARS SUPER TWINS PREMIUM BABY DIAPERS, NGAYONG LUMALAKI NA SIYA AND WITH HIS MORE ACTIVE BEHAVIOR, PELE NOW USES THE NEW SUPER TWINS EASY WEAR BABY PANTS,”  JOLINA REVEALS.

Ms. Aileen Choi-Go, VP for Marketing of Megasoft Hygienic Products Inc.

MS. AILEEN CHOI-GO, VP FOR MARKETING OF MEGASOFT HYGIENIC PRODUCTS INC., IS GRATEFUL TO THE ESCUETAS FOR BEING THE FACE OF THE SUPER TWINS BRAND FOR TWO YEARS NOW.

“AS A FAMILY, JOLINA, MARK AND PELE PERSONIFY THE QUALITIES OF SUPER TWINS PREMIUM BABY DIAPERS AND THE NEW SUPER TWINS EASY WEAR BABY PANTS- PROVIDING SUPPORT, PROTECTION AND COMFORT FOR BABY, AS HE HAPPILY EXPLORES AND ENJOYS LEARNING AND PLAYING.”

Mark Escueta, Jolina's loving and supportive hubby with Pele

Being the dad of Pele, Mark considers himself as a very hands on father. He sees to it that he has quality time spent with their only son Pele. If ever they have the opportunity to bring Pele to their work like his gigs or rehearsals, he brings their cute kiddo who's now 3 years old and turning 4 this year.

“WE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING REALLY GOOD TO DESERVE THIS KIND OF LOVE. THIS EXPERIENCE IS NOT ONLY MAKING US BETTER PARENTS BUT BETTER PEOPLE,” MARK SAYS.
THE NEW SUPER TWINS EASY WEAR BABY PANTS’ LEAK CONTROL CHANNEL QUICKLY ABSORBS AND DRAWS AWAY WETNESS FROM SKIN TO AVOID IRRITATION. THE LIQUID LOCK LAYERS LOCK AWAY LIQUID TO PREVENT LEAKS WHILE THE COTTONY SOFT TOP SHEET KEEPS BABY COOL AND DRY TO MINIMIZE DIAPER RASH.

“AND OF COURSE, JOLINA IS FASHIONABLE JUST LIKE OUR SUPER TWINS PREMIUM BABY DIAPERS AND THE NEW SUPER TWINS EASY WEAR BABY PANTS WITH THE FASHIONABLE DENIM DESIGN,” MS. AILEEN ADDS.

BUT THE CHANGE IN PELE THAT IS MOST WELCOME FOR HIS PARENTS IS THAT HE HAS GROWN TO BE A MORE LOVING PERSON.

“OUR JOURNEY AS PARENTS ONLY MAKES US FEEL BLESSED EVERYDAY. ALL THE SACRIFICES, ALL THE HARDWORK, ALL THE PATIENCE, LAHAT NG PAGOD, LAHAT NAPAPALITAN NG SAYA MAKITA MO LANG YUNG NGITI SA KANYA. LALO NA ‘PAG LUMAPIT SA YO, YAKAPIN KA AT SABIHIN NI PELE NA I LOVE YOU MAMA, I LOVE YOU PAPA. IT’S ALL WORTH IT,” JOLINA RELATES.

“AND WE COULD HAVE NOT DONE IT WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF PEOPLE AROUND US INCLUDING OUR SUPER TWINS FAMILY AND TO THEM WE SAY THANK YOU,” JOLINA NARRATES
