“Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto” Behind The Scenes

JM De Guzman and Charee Pineda on the set

It was just an ordinary taping day for ABS-CBN’s tv series “Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto”  lead stars JM De Guzman and Charee Pineda; but for us, it was not! JM de Guzman was very sweet, grounded, amiable and accommodating. The very first time I saw JM was when I was just passing by ELJ building a couple of years ago, he was standing in front of Gerry’s Grill, my second time was a little closer than before. :))

The company (A4 Telemedia Productions) where I’m connected to had produced the very successful 37th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last year held at Resorts World Manila (RWM) Newport Performing Arts Theater in Newport City, Pasay City; JM had received an award for his outstanding performance in Pintakasi as the Best Actor in the New Wave (indie film) category..... I was at the backstage and we’d walked across each other, was supposed to congratulate him but lost the chance (tsk! too bad), plus I was also rushing to the other side of the backstage.
Now, we're this close already...  :))

When entertainment blogger, Morgy invited me to join him to the set visit of “Angelito,” just recently, I’d no second thoughts. Since I’m an avid follower of “Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto,” got excited about the thought of finally talking with JM (Angelito) on the set and the rest of the casts while taping. The location shoot was set in La Concordia College in Manila, which fortunately, just a jeepney ride from my place :)) JM and direk Theodore C. Boborol gave us a warm welcome.

And how about this? Hahaha now, I can prove
that there's always a next time and it could be
the best part believe me! <3

We were so privileged and felt lucky to have bonded with the “moreno” actor, JM. The talented actor even shared that he writes songs based from his emotions and experience. The important thing is what he feels at the time of his writing and then everything else just follows...  his wants... everything. He was so generous to have showed us few “samples” of his singing talent with the accompaniment of his guitar. Btw, according to him, he’s also into flute playing.

And for you to see what we've witnessed, here's JM De Guzman's cover of
"Is It Okay If I Call You Mine"
originally done by Paul McCrane:

Thank you JM for being so awesome!

Pretty boy JM ;-)

JM doesn't want to be seated when concentrating with his script and munching pizza hehe cute!

The beauteous and curvaceous Charee Pineda who plays Rosalie as Angelito’s wife in the said afternoon teleserye on the Kapamilya network, arrived looking so lovely and fresh (no signs of haggardness) despite her busy schedules- had been shooting for 24 hours for the past few days with little time to rest and sleep. She claimed that having entered the world of politics and dreamed of becoming a city councilor (with NPC political party) in Valenzuela in the 2013 elections, she’s never been so busy. You see, during her free days apart from the tapings of their teleserye, she’s up to visiting the city of Valenzuela and becoming familiar with her future constituents (wink, wink!) and vice- versa.

When asked about if has she established a platform at this early point? Charee replied, “May naka-ready na ako in case... para sa youth since SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) ako.” And with regards to their teleserye’s high ratings at this present time, she’s very happy with it and hopes that it would still continue until February (end of Angelito) of next year. She also shared that on March, 2013, she’d be fully engaged with the campaign, that’s why she’s also thankful that everything runs at the most perfect timing.  Good luck and more power to you, Charee! ;-)

Truly, “Some good things never last,” but while “Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto” still airs, just expect more struggles, challenges, human interests, family values and exciting scenes from one of the sought- after tv series in local channel.

Their journey might come to an end, but our journey to this AMAZING life continues....
Special thanks to Morgy of http://www.supermorgy.com for the invite, to direk Theodore for such a warm accommodation and of course to Mr. Nice Guy, JM De Guzman and Charee Pineda for being so extra nice. It was a very memorable and fun-filled set visit, hope to join you guys again and the rest of the casts in the future. More power!!!
