Can you still remember Isko Moreno's back story how he was discovered and became one of the members of the Master Showman German Moreno's (RIP) very successful tv talent show, "That's Entertainment?" You see according to our future Mayor Isko Moreno, he was a scavenger before and promoted himself to a sidecar driver in the slums of Tondo.
Francisco Moreno Dumagoso in real life, he was popularly known by his showbiz name as "Isko Moreno." He was discovered by his manager Wowie Roxas attending a funeral in Tondo in the year 1993. According to Isko, the first plan for him was tp present him to the press and public that he's a "coño," or someone who's born rich and with breeding which was his exact opposite that's why it didn't push through.
After making his own name in the entertainment scene, he then decided to venture and explore the political world. Carrying his high hopes to help his fellow Manileños, he became a councilor (three terms) in the first district of Manila, after which we also became Vice Mayor for Ex Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. (2007) and the encumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada in the year 2013.

Moreno started his political career when he elected and sworn as councilor for Manila's first congressional district in 1998 and re-elected in 2001 and 2004 respectively. In 2007, he later became vice mayor of the city. He took a crash course in Local Legislation and Local Finance at University of the Philippines. He then studied public administration in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila) while fulfilling his alderman duties.
Coming from a being a scavenger to a sidecar driver to being an actor and now a public servant, Isko's background and triumph maoes him more capable and entitled to make his dreams and high hopes for the capital city of the Philippines, which is Manila, to rise up and never be left behind by other neighboring cities.
