Arjo Atayde | Will make us fall in love in "Stranded" movie

Arjo Atayde in "Stranded" movie

"When you think you have it all, something comes to make you realize, that there’s a lot missing." And that very striking line comes from the newest Arjo Atayde starrer, a romantic comedy film entitled "Stranded."

If we could take you back in time, Arjo first appeared in "E-Boy" TV series in ABS-CBN Channel 2, as Jepoy in 2012, since then he has been having a slowly but surely journey in local showbiz. He had appeared in "Maalaala Mo Kaya," for several times. And each time he shows up, Arjo never ceases to prove his worth as an actor, with every MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) episode he's in. The said program, being the longest-running drama anthology (1991-present) in the Philippines, is said to be a testing ground for every emerging actor in the country. It can make you or break any actor's career, basing from their MMK performance.

Thr versatile actor has also appeared in other tv series such as "Pure Love," "Hanggang Saan," and one of his remarkable performances that had stuck in every Pinoy household was his character in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" as Police C/Insp. (Major) Joaquin S. Tuazon. He was a very effective villain in that said tv series, that's why up to now, most people still address him as "Joaquin" whenever they see him in person.

He was also part of Coco Martin's "Ang Panday," in 2017 and also played a very vital role in thr kick-ass hard action movie, "Buy Bust" in 2018 as Biggy Chen, a drug lord. During the opening of this year, he had also his first starring role in a movie entitled, "Tol," he was so happy and comfortable doing and trying a different genre, which is comedy. From there, he was also paired with the beauteous Jessy Mendiola along with his two other co-stars Joross Gamboa and Ketchup Eusebio. Arjo also is the "Bagman" in the presently playing and considered to be the most-watched digital series on IWant.

Come April 10, Arjo's "Stranded" movie opposite Jessy Mendiola will be shown in theaters nationwide. I've also learned that Arjo and Jessy were childhood friends so there's no breaking the ice between the two lead stars. Arjo will play a happy-go-lucky, "live with the moment," YOLO type of guy. He is a food delivery guy who will be stuck with a girl whom he even never met before, in short, they were total strangers stranded in an office and that there was no way they could get out because of the typhoon that caused heavy rains and flood.

Have you seen their trailer? I don't know with you, but I feel so "kilig" (giggly) upon seeing it and watching their scenes. You see, maybe... just maybe, we could find the "one thing" if not, "the one" that we're hoping for in the most unexpected time, moment and place. That's what strike me most after watching the movie's teaser. Somehow, it gives us hope, right? Who can relate? :)

Our very dear Arjo, is now in another chapter in his life, after all those villainous characters and dramatic or comedic roles, he is now trying to make us "fall in love" and to "feel love" in his latest movie, "Stranded," and it's up to us to find that out!

So guys, see you in theaters, okay? :)
