Jennifer Lopez still has it in her "Second Act" movie

In the story. Maya is a manager at Food  Supermarket in Queens, New York who felt unequal treatment and misjudged by her superior because of not having any bachelor degree that's why she felt very insulted of not having reached college but to her, her experience and expertise should be greatly considered. 

"Second Act," is not only a film of second chances, of realizations and of making up for our losses... it is a story of moms and daughters, of forgiving, of great friendship, honesty, perseverance and love. When Maya got the chance to be interviewed in a very respectable company as a consultant, her resume was faked by her godson and was eventually hired, sje met Zoe, played by Vanessa Hudgens who also became her strict competitor in developing consummable products.

The two women who were competitive and very serious of the challenged given to them by Zoe's father/ owner of the company Mr. Anderson Clarke played by Treat Williams. The two women also had the chance to get to know each other more deeply, until Zoe has confessed to Maya about her discovery that she was Maya's long lost daughter whom she had when she was only sixteen years old. And Zoe was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Clarke. Fate has been really that playful with these two. 

Milo Ventimiglia and JLo 

Milo Ventimiglia plays Trey in the story, Maya's loving and faithful partner. Maya's dark past was kept secret to Trey. She hasn't been totally honest and true to Trey and with that, it had greatly affected their relationship, Maya can't commit herself to Trey's hopes and plans of having a family or even the idea of adoption itself is not a good idea for Maya prompting Trey to leave her. Now that Maya and Zoe are swiftly getting better as a mom and daughter team,  how can Maya get hold of Trey again?

All the lies and front acts were slowly haunting Maya's conscience, she could not bear those any longer until the big day of revelation happened. And because of that, she had lost Zoe again. Maya still continue to keep up with Zoe by writing her letters... and after sometime, they had crossed their paths again (thanks to Maya's very dependable, supportive and ever-reliable friends). Maya Vargas was given the "Second Act" of her life... not only to her daughter, to her love one Trey, but also to herself. 

I really enjoyed watching the film, it's as if I am imagining Maya in real life, that's how the JLo magic works right? She still has that charm that everyone loves about her. I also enjoyed the scenes with her and her best friends, they were so cool in every scene they had and that you will come to realize that we should be really grateful to have loving and supportive friends like them, most especially Joan played by Leah Remini. Maya and Zoe's tandem were incomparable and very touching. I also enjoyed the scenes when Maya and her team (Ariana and Chase) were very keen and passionate about their tasks. They are all funny! Plus the unforgettable dance scene of Maya with Ron (Freddie Stroma), that is very JLo of her and of course JLo has a musical scene with her best friends too, something for you to really look forward to. 

"Second Act" is a winner and worth-watching!!!
