Maybe if you're wondering what is ALOHA? And what does it stand for?

ALOHA, stands for Abacus Learning of Higher Arithmetic , is a holistic brain development program that exercises children’s brain hemispheres to accelerate their mental arithmetic skills. Designed for children of ages 4-13 years old, ALOHA works on enhancing children’s Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ), improving their cognitive skills to up their academic performance, especially in mathematics! ALOHA enhances children’s ability to do calculations without the aid of any instruments such as a calculator or other gadgets, but through the mental image of an abacus only!

In its more than 25 years of experience, ALOHA has expanded in more than 40 countries with thousands of students to 4,000 centers worldwide, proving its effective program and positioning ALOHA as the leading developmental program for children's mental arithmetic learning.

ALOHA Mental Arithmetic teaches the "basic concept" of mental calculation using only the abacus. Training the child in this ancient method improves their ability to compute with their minds.

ALOHA has a qualified academic board with renowned professors and teachers who are trained to provide quality education that is both fun and accurate, and is advised by a panel of experts in various fields of mathematics.

What are it's benefits?

ALOHA Mental Arithmetic is the excellent learning program for your children in the field of numerical computing skills in arithmetic. The program enhances your child’s learning ability to its full potential empowering them to do calculations mentally.

Just recently, the ALOHA Mental Arithmetics Philippine team bagged the major titles in the Aloha International Arithmetic Competition held
at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last July 30.

Darylyn Faith Fabilane, 11, from Rizal and Rheana Yasmin Campos, 10, from Caloocan emerged grand champions of the competition that drew 700 students from Bangladesh, Croatia, China, Canada, Cambodia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Panama, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Venezuela and the Philippines.

Jake Conner Yao, 9, from San Juan City was crowned champion while Ryan Warren Merdegia, 9, of Pampanga, brought home the second runner-up title.
The arithmetic excellence of the young champions was developed through ALOHA's innovative mathematical techniques.

The program not only focuses on enhancing their mathematical skills but also aims to instill a passion for learning.

Ivy Sato, CEO of ALOHA Mental Arithmetic Philippines

Ivy Sato, chief executive officer of ALOHA Mental Arithmetic Philippines, said the recent competition shows that young Filipinos can unlock their full potential and make a significant impact in the global arena as long as they are given adequate support back home.

We also had a great chance to witness how Rheana Yasmin Campos did so well with all the mental, abacus, random problem olving and flash cards methods they had her to deal with.

ALOHA has 3 Programs catering to 3 different age groups:

KIDS
8-13 years old
8 levels

The "KIDS Program" is divided into 8 levels, with each level having a duration of 3-4 months. The children attend classes 2 hours a week, along with five to ten minutes a day of take home exercises

Tiny Tots
5-7 years old
10 levels

The children attend classes 2 hours a week, along with five to ten minutes a day of take home exercises. The children initially uses ABACUS as an ideal learning tool to teach fundamental Math. The activity-based materials encourage their minds to think in different possible directions.

The TinyTots program is divided into 10 levels, with each level having a duration of 3-4 months. Because this program is aimed at younger children, it is paced more slowly than our "KIDS" program. Many parents prefer the Tiny Tots program because children’s minds are more adaptable and impressionable at this age.

Kinder Tiny Tots
4-5 years old
2 levels

It is a program aimed for preschool children to work different intelligences, taking the logical-mathematical as an axis. Kinder Tiny Tots is designed so that the student acquires all the necessary knowledge to obtain the maximum benefits of the ALOHA Tiny Tots program, all this bases on 3 key tools:

  • the abacus

  • multiple intelligences

  • mathematics

To work the 8 intelligences in the classroom will develop skills of all kinds, such as:

  • social skills

  • creativity

  • motor coordination

  • decision making

  • logic and problem resolution

Kinder Tiny Tots works with the emotional intelligence through a tool named "Wheel of emotions", where the students will identify and learn to self-regulate their own emotions and will communicate better with themselves and their environment.

Kinder Tiny Tots fuses the learning and use of abacus with the work of multiple intelligences, thus creating an integral and innovative educational program.
