SJDM's task force ERID: All set and very much ready

With what is happening around us, not only here in our country but globally, this most talked-about and dreaful virus called COVID-19 from the large family of Coronaviruses including from the more common cold to severe diseases like the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), this latest coronavirus had greatly affected people from all walks of life, rich or poor, all ages but more on the elderlies, the ones spared are those who have strong immune system, well-protected, good hygiene and those who are practicing healthy lifestyle. 

In connection with this, the local government of the city of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan, had developed a task force as in accordance to DILG's mandate, spearheaded by SJDM Mayor Art Robes and Congresswoman Rida Robes. The task force ERID (Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases) was set together with some of the LGU's departments and national agencies to plan and form preventive measures to fight the Corona Virus scare.

When asked if they are ready if there will be another person that will come out as COVID-19 positive, Mayor Art Robes quickly answered: "Preparado na kami ngayon, not only 'yung ospital ng lungsod, even the private hospitals now, handang-handa na, personally, isa ako sa nag-inspect kahapon sa disaster kit namin, para tiyakin, even the private hospitals, na in case ha, na 'wag naman sanamg dumating, ayaw naman naming dumating 'yun, sa sana namam ay huwag dumating pero kung talagang darating 'yun ay handang-handa na kami." 

In addition, Congresswoman has a special message to everyone: "Siguro lang po ang talagang dapat ang taumbayan po ay manalig talaga na dapat hindi lang ang lokal na pamahalaan o national government ang kikilos, kailangan tulung-tulong po talaga at pangalagaan ang ating mga sarili." 

With that assurance from the great leaders, the San Joseños are undoubtedly in good hands. And for each and everyone of us, this incident in our life will not haunt us forever, let's all be hopeful, obedient and be positive (not with COVID-19) but let us all continue to pray and believe that this too, shall pass.
