Hola! Visit the "Fiery Style Southwestern Flaming Grill" in Gateway Mall Cubao

Hola!!! Here in the Philippines, we have very few good choices for Tex Mex cuisine. So what do we actually mean when we say Tex Mex? According to Wikipedia, it is from Texan and Mexican), also known as Mexican American cuisine, is a fusion of Mexican and American cuisines, deriving from the culinary creations of the Tejano people living in Texas

And when we say Texan and Mexican food, it also means that there's a wide variety of our favorite and overflowing nachos, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, grilled steaks, grilled sausages, also pizza, enchiladas, cheese, spicy food, chilli con carne and a lot more that we, Filipinos also get to love and are very fond to munch on.

You see there's this one emerging and fast-rising Southwestern Resto in and outside the Metro. It's called the "Fiery Style" Southwestern Flaming Grill Resto and is now open also in Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City. This is their 12th and newest branch to date and according to them, they are aiming to open more branches within the year, possibly until it reaches its 25th branch!!! Oh my, that's a lot right?! I mean they could really be that huge and so in demand to open up and multiply that fast! Hmmmm... am I getting your interest now? Well, if you haven't been to any of the Fiery Style branches, and not familiar with it yet, on that note, I am going to help you get to know Fiery Style Resto...

We were recently invited to join the grand opening of Fiery Style Gateway Mall just recently, it was not difficult to locate since their facade is just exactly opposite the "New Frontier" theater, so no reason to get lost okay :) And speaking of getting lost, you might feel it too, once you get to taste their Tex Mex varieties!

Would like to show you their exteriors and interiors first...

This is me and this side of their entrance is the one inside the Gateway Mall

The facade outsidr the mall facing the street and New Frontier Theater

Now we go to what everyone's been raving about! Foooooooood!!!
For a fresh start, we were served with this...

The very famour Fiery Nachos! Oozing with cheese, meat, guacamole, tomato salsa, refried beans, jalapeños, black olives and a lot more for Php388

You have to choose between Corn Chips or Potato Chips and for the meaty part, you can choose between Grilled Jalapeño-lime Chicken, Mexican Chilli Beef or Barbecued Beef Brisket which was what we had during our visit.

Being a self-confessed "shrimp fanatic," it is an imperative for me to remind myself to order a dish with shrimps on it so we had ,,,

Salpicao  De Mar Y Tierra

Tender Beef and Succulent Shrimps sauteed in fiery salpicao sauce for Php398
This dish was so good, for "starters" and it also goes well with rice! Believe me!

Under "COMBINATIONES" section, we ordered for "Combo Dos"

5oz. Rump Steak with Crispy Squid Rings, half-grilled tomato and your choice of rice for Php228

"Hearty Tomato Soup"

You have the options either Chicke/BBQ Pulled Pork/ Pork Canitas /Beef Brisket or Assorted Seafood with crushed chips for Php148

Under the "MEXICAN FAVORITES." we had the "Terrific Tacos"  Either you go for flour or corn-filled with shredded lettuce, refried beans, Mexican cheese, salsa, sour cream...

And for the filling, you have these options:
Sauteed Vegetables
Marinated Shrimps
BBQ Pulled Pork
Rump Steak
Mexican Chili Beef
Barbecued Beef Brisket
Fiery Grilled Sisig

This time, we all agreed to try the Grilled Jalapeno-lime Chicken for Php228 and it was good since it has a fresh-little bit of lime flavor that doesn't leave an after-taste

Fiery Nacho, Heart Tomato Soup, Grilled Jalapeno lime-Chicken Terrific Tacos and Combo Dos

And now, one of Fiery Style's Best Sellers come from their "THE GALLEON GRILLS" section in the menu... This could be so perfect when you're dining in with your family, friends or peers for a group of 2 to 3 (Supremo) or 4 to 5 (Ultimo).  For us, foodies, we are all fond of ordering these group meals, right? I guess, we are all accustomed to that type of serving, much cheaper and yet we can have a platter of different menu entrees, right?! It's like a "boodle" kinda thing, you know what I mean. :))

"Galleon of Bones"

A Ship of BBQ Pork ribs, Chicken Wings and Meaty Pork hammers, Beef Ribs served with Southwest chips or your own choice of fiery rice, coleslaw & Texan style BBQ sauce.
Supremo (2-3 pax) --- Php928
Ultimo  (4-5) --- Php1578

"BBQ Porky Pig Grill"

This one goes to all pork-lovers! This is the ultimate combination of BBQ Pork Ribs, BBQ Marinated Flattened pork loin and two pork & black pepper sausages.  Served on sizzling onions with chips or your choice of fiery rice, mushrooms, half a grilled tomato.

Ultimo --- Php628

Of course, if you'll be dining with your family or a group, you should also try the "SHARERS" section

Under that, we had the "Lave Grilled Chanos Chanos" you can share this whole Milkfish course grilled to perfection and served with Cilantro chunky salsa for Php458

Still under the "SHARERS" section, now comes the very witty menu... "Lord of the Wings" ;)) for Php1198

Whoever had this "bright and creative" idea of naming this dish, well, I commend you, it was so catchy and yer very funny huh?! Well, you can never go wrong with this Southwestern Buffalo wings, alright, for me this could be one of the best dish for sharing, aside from its very flavorful taste, it includes 24 chicken wings, 8 of which topped with the following flavours:  Hot hot hot Sauce, Nacho Cheese Sauce & Bacon and Texan Style BBQ

In Fiery Style Resto, good food, good ambiance and service awaits everyone!!!

Still under "MEXICAN FAVORITES," we also had "Mexican Cheese Quesadilla" for Php378

This one really caught me by surprise! I did not have any expectations or whatsoever when I ordered for this Mexican favorite, but the moment I munch on it, it was so yummy, very cheesy and satisfying! This is really a must-try peeps!

This cheesy & crispy treat stuffed with Mexican Cheese, Ranchero Sauce, Shredded Lettuce and your choice of filling.  Served with Guacamole, Sour Cream and you choice of salsa.
Here are the choices for the fillings:

To complement with what the feasty flavors and dishes we all had, we had "Cucumber Lime Mint Juice" for only Php88. This drink was so refreshing, you should try this.

And you feel like chilling after a long tiring night while listening to the acoustic band playing inside the Fiery Style Resto, have some Mojito! Here's their "House Minty Mojito" for only Php158.

Refreshing flavors of fresh lime and mint leaves mixed with white rum. One of the top choice alcoholic drinks in the world!

Chillin' with my blogger/friends Angelyn Demo and Marco Dennis while waiting for our dessert

Finally, our New York Frozen Cheesecake has arrived! I am not that much of a dessert person, but I tell you, this is probably one of best cheesecakes I had other than the cheesecake of my fave Chef Hasset Go.  This one costs Php228

Freshly Baked Soft Brownie Ala Mode for Php258

Baked soft chocolate brownie, served with vanilla ice cream and crushed tortilla.

Am I feeling Mexican?  Hmm... I guess so...after consuming all those delish and qualified Tex Mex dishes, now I am getting this "high" :))
