Vindication for the People’s Champ Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao

When the first time Pacquiao and Bradley met on the ring on June 9, 2012, for the most fans, it was convincing enough for Manny to retain his WBO Welterweight Crown, but apparently, as fate would have it, two of the three judges sitting at ringside saw otherwise, they gave Bradley the upper-hand thus the championship crown via a split decision.

Many in the sporting world was shocked by the decision including Pacquiao himself. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Filipino icon at that time. There was nothing he could do but to move on to his next fight, which incidentally, he also lost via knockout, this time at the hands of bitter rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
After waiting for two years, Top Rank Promotion was able to bring the two protagonist together for a rematch. Slated on April 12, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, this promises to be fireworks in the making as Pacquiao is raring to regain his boxing title and prove to the world that he is indeed the real winner in their first fight.

On the other hand, Bradley is getting his chance to show the people that his first victory is no fluke. His intention is to finish Manny by knockout as to bury all doubts lingering in everybody's mind. At stake is the Welterweight crown which he won from Pacquiao.

Some people has started to question Pacquiao’s ability to regain his crown as he is aging at 35 years old while Timothy is at his prime at 30. Manny has also become less aggressive in his previous fight as fans start to wonder whether the hunger and fire is still there. On the other side, Bradley has improved a lot over the two years with his fights.

When the bell rang, both seems ready and they came out fighting aggressively. The crowds at MGM was also fired up as both warriors started to throw a wide array of punches with Manny slightly holding the advantage. It was a fight people expected and came to see.

Fans kept cheering the two warriors especially when Pacquiao seems to gain the upper-hand in their exchanges. Both boxers kept throwing their hands at each other as if there is no tomorrow.
As the battle wore on, this intense exchanges of punches by both Manny and Tim continued through the match. Each one was determined to knock each other with heavy punches. There was no dull moment in this encounter as both boxers are in their best conditions.

There were a couple of times that Pacquiao was rocked by the punch of Bradley in the middle rounds. Bradley’s  aggressiveness was borderline reckless as most of his shots was hitting air as Pacquiao was able to dodge most of  them.

Manny, on the other hand, was fighting as if he has turned back the clock. He was reminiscent of his younger years in his being more aggressive but with more knowledge of the game. He is solid in his punches especially the left straight jabs which kept Timothy at bay. For several instances, Pacquiao almost floored Bradley with his quick punches but the latter was only able to merely hang on. One time Bradley leaned literally by the rope and the other by grabbing Pacquiao and clinging to him for dear life.

In the end, there was no denying the former champion as all three judges and the rest of the world agree that Pacquiao was the "better fighter" in this bout, as admitted by Bradley himself during their post fight interview with veteran boxing analyst Larry Merchant. This was a vindication on his part from the first fight. Even Bradley acknowledges Manny as the victor in their second meeting. There was no doubt in this one. This is just Pacquiao claiming what was rightfully his, the WBO Welterweight Crown and the first man to hang a loss on Bradley’s career.
