Company’s ‘Optimism your feed’ Playlist Garners 1.2 Billion Views in Just Three Weeks


LG Electronics (LG) has launched a global social media challenge to amplify its brand promise of ‘Life’s Good’ by encouraging customers worldwide to create and share moments of everyday optimism on their social media feeds. Running across TikTok and Instagram, the challenge encourages participants to foster a more positive environment on their social media feeds by posting optimistic moments and selfies featuring the “finger heart” gesture – a popular symbol among K-pop idols created by forming a mini heart with the index finger and thumb – using the hashtags #Lifesgood and #Optimismyourfeed.


“LG is committed to delivering on its promise of ‘Life’s Good. This social media challenge aims to uncover and share what ‘Life’s Good’ means to our customers,” said Kim Hyo-eun, vice president and head of LG’s Brand Management Division. “We believe there is real power in approaching life with an optimistic attitude, and our Optimism your feed campaign’s social media challenge is all about embracing the opportunity to inspire more positive activities in the virtual and real world.”



The social media challenge is part of LG’s ‘Optimism your feed’ campaign and follows the launch last month of LG’s Optimism your feed playlist – a collection of original content that, when interacted with, will pull more optimistic content into your feed. Created in collaboration with global influencers known for their positive impact, the playlist offers users the opportunity to experience more uplifting and encouraging posts. Within just three weeks of its release on TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms, the playlist has garnered over 1.2 billion views. It has resonated with viewers worldwide, prompting comments about their eagerness to participate and positively influence their algorithms.

The social media challenge invites users around the world to join influencers including Tina Choi, Victoria Browne, Josh Harmon, Team1llusion, Lenna Vivas and Samuel Weidenhofer in spreading optimism across social media feeds. In just four days, around 21,000 users have already joined the movement to share their optimistic moments.


Meanwhile, LG has also launched an offline campaign event called ‘Optimism your day,’ which will run till early July. Continuing from last year, a truck adorned with the company’s ‘Life’s Good’ brand slogan is scheduled to tour the 11 business sites in Korea. The truck features a large LED display that plays ‘Life’s Good’ campaign videos and showcases positivity slogans shared by LG employees worldwide. LG believes in spreading the campaign’s message of optimism to employees as well as the outside world.

Legarda urges Filipinos to love country like Rizal

In commemoration of Dr. Jose Rizal’s 163rd birth anniversary, Senator Loren Legarda underscored the importance of one's love of country, describing it as a crucial driving force in national development.

Legarda emphasized that fostering patriotism would enable Filipinos to innovate ways to improve and serve the country, as it requires a unified effort to overcome challenges.

"Throughout his lifetime, Dr. Jose Rizal emphasized love for the country and the Filipino people, valuing our identity and independence, even at the ultimate cost of his own life,” Legarda said.

"We must uphold his ideals through serving others; let us uplift one another by utilizing our best abilities and ensuring the protection of our future," she added.

The four-term senator highlighted several initiatives, such as respecting human rights, finding ways to protect the environment, preserving our cultural heritage, and ensuring equal opportunities for all.

Legarda further expressed that Rizal used the available tools of his time, with his pen creating a rippling effect throughout the nation.

"During his time, he put his thoughts to good use and awakened Filipino consciousness through the most influential media of the time—literature," remarked the senator.

"We now have the means to advocate for reform with just a click: social media is a highly effective tool today, ensuring that the voice of the people cannot be silenced."

Myke Celis - As an award-winning life coach, Myke inspires many with his journey from the depths of adversity to a beacon of hope. He transformed from an abuse survivor into an award-winning life coach and LGBTQIA+ advocate, powerfully reminding us that resilience, determination, and a commitment to authenticity can lead to profound personal transformation and a positive impact on the world.

Steve Dailisan - For 12 years, he covered countless stories as a news reporter. Yet, even as he thrived in his role, his dream of becoming a pilot never waned. Steve worked tirelessly, saving diligently to fulfill his dream. Unfortunately, amidst his journey, Steve faced a heartbreaking personal loss of his father’s passing. Although his father was not there to witness his milestone of becoming a pilot, Steve's achievement stands as a testament to the perseverance, dedication, and resilience that characterized his journey.

Phoebe Fructuoso - Chairwoman of PAVE Philippines, Phoebe is a beacon of hope and resilience. As a gang rape survivor, she has transformed her personal trauma into a powerful force for social change. Determined to educate others on the dangers of gender-based violence and rape culture, she has dedicated her life to advocating for victims and raising awareness about these critical issues.

Marlon Fuentes - For the past 6 years, Marlon Fuentes has been a dedicated ride-hailing app driver, providing exceptional service to his passengers despite living with Tourette Syndrome. Marlon's journey is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the ability to thrive in the face of adversity. Many have doubted his capabilities because of his condition, but Marlon has consistently proven that Tourette Syndrome does not define him or his abilities.

Erline Maniquis - Apart from the daily struggles of being deaf, Erline has also been a victim of bullying. But she has never allowed her disability to define her, instead, she embraced her identity as a deaf individual and used her platform to advocate for inclusivity and empowerment. As Deafinitely Beautiful on TikTok, Erline has gained widespread recognition for her engaging and informative videos teaching sign language.

Jkhriez Pastrana - Born with dwarfism, Jkhriez has faced her fair share of challenges and prejudices, but she refuses to let her stature define her. She rose above and became a multi-talented individual whose journey defies stereotypes and inspires others to embrace their uniqueness. Her ambitions extended far beyond the realm of entertainment, and she embarked on a new chapter in her journey—a journey towards becoming a lawyer that would enable her to advocate for justice and equality.

April Perreras - After two years of grueling medical treatments and countless challenges, April emerged from her battle with cancer as a survivor. Inspired by her own experience, April was driven to help others navigate the difficult path to recovery. Thus, Move Beyond Cancer was born—a platform dedicated to spreading awareness, promoting fitness, and empowering cancer warriors to reclaim their strength and mobility, a testament to April's unwavering commitment to helping others find strength, hope, and healing in the face of adversity.

Jerico Ramota - In March 2020, during the height of the pandemic, Jerico recognized the urgent need for support within his barangay. Despite facing financial challenges of his own, he refused to turn a blind eye to the suffering of his community. Instead, he took decisive action, mobilizing resources, and rallying volunteers to launch Rolling Bayanihan–a moving pantry which became a lifeline for many families struggling to make ends meet, providing essential food supplies and support during one of the most challenging periods in recent history.

Jerico Silvers - Initially rejected by a writer's club in his early days of writing, Jerico turned to the online space to share his work. His talent was soon discovered by a publishing house, which led to the publication of his first book. However, the publishing house eventually closed down, presenting another hurdle. Undeterred, Jerico faced financial adversity head-on by borrowing money and quitting his job to start his own publishing house. Through his perseverance and determination, he not only achieved his dreams but also extended a hand to aspiring authors, empowering them to share their stories with the world.


There will be three winners that will each be awarded PHP 200,000, with half of their prize to be donated to their selected beneficiaries. Runners-up will also receive PHP 50,000. Through the Pinoy Mavericks Awards, each nominee not only receives recognition for their achievement, but also serves as a catalyst for positive change, providing support to their chosen organizations, and embodying the essence of purpose-driven life.

Shopee launches Future Operations Leader Program for promising workstream innovators

Shopee’s newest graduate program offers experiential learning with on-ground e-commerce exposure



To harness the power of the Philippines’ e-commerce revolution and amplify its impact on the country’s economy, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) puts a priority on the establishment of infrastructure, systems, and processes to help achieve seamless and efficient supply chains, and further encourage digital adoption.

As a critical player in the industry, leading e-commerce platform Shopee Philippines underscores the importance of investing in human capital to encourage operational innovations and support DTI’s e-commerce vision. The platform recently opened applications to the Future Operations Leader Program (FLP), its newest graduate program that provides on-ground cross-functional work experiences to fresh graduates and young professionals.

“With Shopee’s industry expertise, we are in a favorable position to serve as an incubator for operations leaders. Designed to develop the skills and potential of aspiring operations innovators, effective communicators, solution-centered thinkers, and resilient future leaders, the Future Operations Leader Program aims to nurture the next generation of operational leaders through hands-on training to understand e-commerce logistics and fulfillment fully,” said Karen Perez, Head of HR Center for Excellence at Shopee Philippines.

Recent graduates and young professionals with three years of experience or less are eligible to apply to the two-year FLP. They are also assigned a manager, buddy, and mentor to help guide them throughout their professional journey at Shopee.

On June 2, 2024, Brilliant Skin Essentials hosted a remarkable event at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan to celebrate several key milestones: the grand launch of their latest product, Hello Melo Drink, in demand actress Kim Chiu as their newest endorser, alongside the contract signings with F&D and iFuel.
The event commenced with the much-anticipated contract signing with F&D of Brilliant Skin Essentials.
