Macoy Mendoza and his Music

A lot of talents, promising or not, have tried entering the showbusiness, either in the acting scene or music industry but, reality really bites... only few have been called and chosen. 

Last Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Teatrino in Promenade, Greenhills, I was able to watch and meet and have a quick chat with Macoy Mendoza... who, for me, looks like the younger version of prominent actor Carlo Aquino at a first glance (or in some of his angles). Macoy is tagged as the newest concert cutie or heartthrob. At his tender age (only eighteen), he can also write songs and he even plays piano. 

His first concert experience was when he performed as one of Prima Diva Billy's guests in her July concert at the same venue. That served as his testing ground and from then on, a lot were impressed by his performance since he belted out in most of his songs. We seldom encounter male singers and as young as he is who still managed to nail it. He's like following the footsteps of Darren Espanto in a way.

In a particular portion of Macoy's concert, he sang Michael Jackson's originals and one of those was the song, "Music and Me," and as soon as I heard him sing, I was in awe and really admired how his voice range had turned out. He has a very high voice range and very powerful too for a male singer like him.

For a newbie like Macoy, you will definitely have a special place in the music industry.
