The IT Girls of Horror I Sue, Miles, Michelle, Jane & Chanel in their most frightening film, "The Debutantes"

The cast and director of "The Debutantes" during the movie's blogcon, direk Prime Cruz, the IT Girls of Horror: Michelle Vito, Sue Ramirez, Miles Ocampo, Jane de Leon with Paolo Gumabao

Debut
intro, introduction, presentation - formally making a person known to another or to the public
or it also otherwise know as the coming of age of a young lady, specifically at the age of eighteen when she is physically and emotionally ready to announce to the public that she has come of age, via a simple or any kind of celebration.

For a girl like me, I've experienced the glory and the struggles of preparing and having a debut celebration, but I was so thankful for my mom, (dad was already gone during that time), and my relatives who had given me love and full support that time. I made my own design for my gown and the color theme was mint green, it was not my fave color though but I was thinking of having a pastel color theme for my debut celebration. It was a very memorable evening for me and I'll forever cherish it.

Enough of my reminiscin'... I was just reminded of the new film by Regal Films, "The Debutantes," a horror, thriller, terrifying, scream-bait movie. This stars the IT Girls of Horror namely, Sue Ramirez, Miles Ocampo, Michelle Vito, Jane de Leon and Chanel Morales. This movie embarks the coming of age of  the so-called "The Debutantes," with all its strange happenings, challenges, thrills, chills, screams, roller coaster of emotions and animosities which are not normal for a regular debut celebration.

During the blogcon of the movie, "The Debutantes," the main cast was introduced first...

Paolo  Gumabao

Paolo plays the boyfriend of one of the mean girls, Shayne played by Chanel Morales.

Jane de Leon plays Jenny in the film

I am familiar with Jane since I watch her most of the time in the noontime show, "It's Showtime," as one of the all-girl dance group there named "Girltrends." She has also appeared in several tv programs like in "Wansapanatym."

Michelle Vito plays Candice

Michelle is a sweet young lady who claims of having appeared mostly in horror movies such as "Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay," and she has also played "contravida" roles, which I guess she is also good at. She was part of the cast of the tv fantaserye "Aryana," as Megan, top-billed by Ella Cruz in 2012.

Miles Ocampo plays Lara

Miles is a product of the kiddie gag show, "Goin' Bulilit." Aside from numerous TV series, she has also appeared in a number of movies like "I've Fallen For You," "A Very Special Love," "You Changed My Life," "BFF: Best Friends Forever" and "Paano Na Kaya?" She is currently appearing in the weekly comedy tv show, "Home Sweetie Home." And from what I've known, is also being tapped as the very controversial Xander Ford's (formerly Marlou Arizala) leading lady in their upcoming project.

Sue Ramirez as Kate in the story

Sue was first seen in the remake of the hit teleserye "Mula Sa Puso," which was followed by the series "Angelito: Batang Ama," "Anelito: Ang Bagong Yugto," "Annaliza," "Pangako Sa'yo," "Dolce Amore," and the ongoing horror serye "La Luna Sangre" of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. She was walso part of the reality show, "I Can Do That," aside from being named as the Honorary Tourism Ambassador for Korea. Her film projects also include "Aswang," "Just The Way You Are," and "A Second Chance."

Direk Prime Cruz

He is the director behind "Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23-B."

The story of "The Debutantes" will revolve around Kate (Sue), a friendless and weird-looking student who tries to win the friendship of fellow students Lara (Miles), Jenny (Jane), Candice (Michelle) and Shayne (Chanel).

She, however, fails miserably in that she only gets close to one of them, Lara, while the rest of the girls find immeasurable joy in bullying her around. Kate then experiences a nightmare and warns them about it but they would not listen except for Lara.

Together, these girls deliver a unique brand of horror in "The Debutantes", one that today's millenial generation can relate to as it delves into the subject of bullying within the campus.

Regal Films has been churring out horror flicks that clicl with the audience, it is the matriarch film outfit's forte by the way.

"Haunted Mansion" was a top grosser while Regal's last horror presentation was a blockbuster.

So this is me, with the IT Girls of Horror, replacing Chanel (hahaha joke!) after the movie's blogcon

So  watch with your families, friends or colleagues, 'The Debutantes" on October 4, 2017, Wednesday, in cinemas nationwide!!!
