I confess, I'm an avid fan of Japanese food, and when we're talking about Japan's famous Beef Bowl, Yoshinoya is the place to be!

Last December of last year, Yoshinoya had welcomed and supported the Ms. Earth 2013 delegates at their Glorietta branch in Makati City and I was one of the fortunate ones who'd  witnessed Yoshinoya's hospitality and  how the delegates had come to love its food as well. You can check out my amazing experience with Yoshinoya and the gorgeous Ms. Earth delegates here.

And now, finally, foodies and Yoshinoya-lovers from Fairview and the nearby municipalities can be able to enjoy Yoshinoya Japanese food. The newest Yoshinoya branch had opened in Ayala Fairview Terraces last February 28, 2014. As new as the mall itself, the grand opening was a blast!

The usual ceremony started with a store blessing by the officiating priest

Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc. President and General Manager, Mr. Timothy James G. Yang (second from left) with celebrity guests Louella de Cordova and Jenny Fajardo were shown happily cutting the ribbon at the recently opened Yoshinoya Ayala Fairview Terraces branch.

Next was the traditional throwing of coins with candies which is believed to bring good fortune to the store or any specific place that is being blessed by a Catholic priest.

Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc. President and General Manager, Mr. Timothy James G. Yang were all smiles giving his welcome speech to the Yoshinoya guests and loyal customers.

Yoshinoya even offered a great deal for Cosplayers that day! You wanna know what was it?

Isn't that such an awesome deal?!

Now we've come to my most fave part! You wanna guess? Hahaha, it's dining time at Yoshinoya!

First, I had a Kani Salad, being an avid  Japanese food lover, I wouldn't let this pass on my meal hihi. This is so affordable, this only costs PhP69.00

Yoshinoya Veggie Bowl

You had never been to Yoshinoya if you wouldn't try their Famous Beef Bowls from Japan! That time, I was having a Veggie Beef Bowl, since I love veggies too, I was so satisfied with this. It's so affordable too, for the regular Veggie Beef, it's price is PhP119.00 and for Large bowl, PhP155.00.  I guess the large bowl for me huh, is also good for sharing so you can still order other exciting menus from their list. :))

Kani Shumai and Shitake Shumai

If you haven't tried their other side dishes like Kani Shumai and Shitake Shumai, you must be missing a portion of a worthy dining experience at Yoshinoya. Aside from the fact that it is so affordable (always!), it's only PhP59.00 for 4 pieces/order, you'll enjoy every bite of Kani Shumai, a pork filling dimsum with crab meat topping and the Shitake Shumai, a pork filling with mushroom topping.

History of Yoshinoya:

Yoshinoya was born in 1899 under the ingenuity of its founder, a Japanese, named Eikichi Matsuda. the story begins at Nihonbashi, a humble fish market in chou-ku, Tokyo, on the outskirts of Edo Castle where Mr. Matsuda created a delicious recipe of beef and rice known as Gyudon (beef bowl). Named for his birthplace of Yoshino-Cho, Osaka, Mr. Matsuda's restaurant, featured delicious, affordable ans fast meals.

According to Wikipedia, there is a predominant belief that the the origin of the name,[3] and the letter  (ya) means "house." The letter  (yoshi) means "good fortune" and  (no) means "field."
The nickname of the restaurant is "yoshigyū" (吉牛), which is an abbreviation of Yoshinoya no gyūdon (吉野家の牛丼, Yoshinoya's gyūdon.

It was an entirely new concept in Japanese culture, and both the hard-working fisherman and market visitors embraced it. Yoshinoya was an instant hit. In 1923, Japan was hit by the Great Kanto Earthquake and Yoshinoya had to move to Tsukiji with the rest of the fish market and throngs of hungry patrons continued to enjoy Yoshinoya's original grudon, or Beff Bowl.

In 1946, Mizuho Matsuda, son of Eikichi Matsuda, turned the business into a 24-hour restaurant and rapidly gained wide spread popularity in Japan. In 1958, it became a corporate company operating on a chain store system. Yoshinoya boasts of more than 100 years of tradition. Yoshinoya has grown to be one of the biggest fast-food chains in Japan. To date, there aremore than 1200 outlets around the world, namely Japan, USA, Hongkong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, /Thailand and here in the Philippines.

Century Pacific Group under its retail arm, Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc., entered into Franchise Agreement with Yoshinoya International Co., Ltd in 2001 and started its first store operation in December 2001.
