The Basque Pelota Legendary players
In an effort to bring back together the
legends of Jai-alai, which become popular as the fastest ball game in the
Philippines, Pinoy Aficionado in cooperation with Casino Espanol will host a
special Jai-alai tournament entitled “BASQUE PELOTA (The LEGENDS RETURN) which
aims to promote and re-introduce the game as the new and exciting sports to
watch in the Philippines.
The thrust of this event has emanated from
the realization that the game Jai-alai is actually dying in the field of
sports, alleviating the hope of our players to be recognized and be able to
show their talent in their chosen field of sports. Thus, it also aims to
correct the wrong impression that this game merely promotes gambling in the
Philippines.
Basque Pelota will feature a meet and greet
with former Jai-alai players such as Justo Oyarzabal, Pamboy Lorenzo, Mandy
Ilano, Ramon “Ripol” Del Gallego. Paolo
Lopez, Tony McSarili, Rommel Finianos and a lot more. Aficionados will be
able to watch their favorite players on their special exhibition games, take
photos, enjoy the photo exhibits, games and lots of fun and actions
awaits the attendees.
Everyone is invited for this once in a
lifetime get together which will be held on FEBRUARY 02, 2014, at Casino
Espanol de Manila, T.M. Kalaw St. Ermita Manila from 3:00 P.M. -12 M.N.
